The only thing pernell would win is a blow snorting contest.

Nope, he'd beat Floyd at this weight and below... He's just simply the better fighter who fought and beat better people. Whitaker has too much going for him over Floyd to lose to Floyd. Not realistic

Chavez is literally the only guy he beat who was better than Floyd's comp, and it still officially went down as a draw.

You don't say... Okay then... Please name me the comparable people to

    Ramirez x2
    Nelson
    Greg H.
    McGirt x 2
    Vasquez
    Chavez
Oscar (Mind you this the prime beast version of Hoya... far far superior to the version May beat)
    Brazier
    Diaz
    Rivera

Please list me the fighters Floyd beat that are ****ogous to these guys above. I'm looking for these caliber of fighters, and fighting them prime or close to Prime.

Bonus: Please list for the fighter that is most like Felix Trinidad. Granted he didn't win... but taking a prime crusher like Felix the distance when you're well past your best and high on Cocaine... is something Floyd could and would never be able to duplicate.

    1. Lost to De La Hoya and Trinidad
    2. Pacquiao is better than the rest (exception: Chavez).

My thoughts exactly. At 147 I give Floyd a small but distinct edge. Lower down it's Pea with an equally small but distinct edge.

2015 past prime Pacquiao is not as good as a prime De La Hoya.

First off, Many (Including me) feel that Whitaker won that fight. So yes, that could be considered a win for Whitaker. The press even had Whitaker winning the fight. So... yes I would like an example of somebody like Oscar that Floyd beat.

Pac better than people on that list? Nah, don't buy it. He was injured by his own account going into the fight. Not only that, but he wasn't even prime nor at his best weight. That Pac wasn't better than half the people on the list. Next you're going to tell me Mosley was a prime beast when May fought him.

Also, I asked you for the people ****ogous to the men Pea fought and when he fought them. I'm looking for quality... and close to prime etc etc. You listed one fight. One fight isn't what I asked for. A totality of a person's boxing record is what I'm talking about, and is what is MOST important who fought better people. For that we need to look at all the people they fought and when they fought them. So.... give me a name next to EACH person that I listed that you feel are comparable. The initial disagreement was that you said Pea didn't fight better people besides Chavez... OKAY PROVE IT. List the people that compare then.

I'd give Whitaker the edge but the difference in their quality of opposition is pretty marginal and subjective, imo. Not sure that Whitaker's best opponents would dominate Floyd's if you put them in the ring together (at the weights in which Whitaker and Mayweather actually fought them).

Well... as long as you give him the edge I guess we don't have "much" to disagree on. I don't agree that the difference is Marginal or Subjective. Of course much of what we talking about is subjective, but there are levels within subjection. My contention would be... there isn't much subjective about it, Pea fought the better people. All you'll need to do is list the people who are like or better than the people I listed. Once you do that, you'll see it become even less subjective to you. Again though, we seemingly mostly agree.

I'm not going to dissect resumes according to your specifications, but Corrales, Cotto, Castillo, Canelo, DLH, etc. would obviously fit into the higher end of Pea's resume.

pea lost to DLH, according to you he didn't, but that highlights one of pea's deficiencies: he didn't always win fights definitively. Floyd does, which is why he's undefeated.

Regarding the pac fight, Floyd was 38 and coming off one of the most pedestrian years of his career. Pac was coming off one of the best years. It was obvious from round one that Pac wouldn't beat Floyd at any point in his career.

Head to head (not pound for pound), which of these guys beats junior-middleweights Cotto, Canelo, and Oscar? Welterweights Pacquiao, Judah, and Maidana?
