Bruno's chin isn't all that either, but this isn't a hard pick.

 

Come on like Wilder would ever even get in the ring with a fighter of Bruno's caliber. Wilder has a punchers chance but he makes a lot of mistakes and there was one thing Bruno could do well was blow away over matched opposition with ease and that's what most likely happens.

 

Has there ever been a more derived Heavyweight belt holder than Wilder? I certainly struggle to remember, even the joke that was John Ruiz seemed to have more fans

Bruno would be extremely dangerous early for Wilder - however, with the right game plan Wilder could play it cute on the outside, bagging insurance rounds with a pot shot jab (remember, Spoon outjabbed Bruno while grossly overweight and facing a 5" reach disadvantage) and then go for the easy stoppage when Bruno sputtered.

If he tried his usual blitzkrieg, Wilder faces a very serious risk of it backfiring and getting KTFO.

All comes down to preparation and how smart Wilder decides to be when the bell rings

Bruno isn't exactly "that bad" either - losses to all-time-greats Lewis and Tyson are nothing to get hung about, nor really to Spoon (albeit fat Spoon, though he was still in his prime and is a bit underrated in the grand scheme) or even Bonecrusher.

I don't even agree that Bruno was necessarily "chinny". He was knocked out by three huge punchers (two of them ATG's, one strictly a banger yet a banger that managed to knock out a decent sort on a regular basis) and gassed & was outlasted versus Spoon.

This is a mismatch, Bruno wins this inside 5-6 rounds. Wilder doesn't have the chin to be able to compete at Bruno's level.

Bruno would exhaust himself 2 minutes into the fight. Wilder takes control and bombs his ass out of there!
