I am looking for a headguard with decent protection for the nose without hindering my sight to much.I have been looking at mexican style headguards.

So what headguards do you prefer, and what headguards are best for nose protection without hindering your sight.

    Thanks in advance:thumbsup

Got a Grant headguard. It's very good but pricey.

    £160 with a discount code for 10%.

Got both Grant gloves and headgear though and they're excellent.

Looks good! Can somebody please explain how it protects the nose? It looks to me that the nose is open to hit

You need to buy one really mate such as the Rival one I recommended and then have a bit of a spar really light and you will see how the forehead / cheek protectors create a barrier which gives the nose protection. When you put it on and push a glove at your nose or face the glove is essentially bigger than the nose area and so less contact to the nose is allowed.

Unfortunately you can only see this when you buy it or go to a store and see it for real. The good thing with most online retailers is they give 30 day return policy like sugar rays does... so you can send it back no probs and get a full refund :)

I've used only a couple through out the last couple of years and so far the hype around Winning headgear has not let me down. They fit like a glove and most importantly, for me, they don't rotate or move around too much if you get hit.
