Saw Haye In Brixton today window down thumping out some reggae and looking as chilled as you could get. I'm getting worried about Saturday because he seems so laid back but he always seems to have his own way of preparing so maybe i should be confident like i was 3 weeks ago.
Don't worry about this fight. Ruiz is starting to attack a little more. He'll still smother a lot of Haye's work, but I think our boy will get to him by the 8th at absolute worse. I think 5th or sixth is probable. I think Ruiz is finally getting his due, but his changed style, age and his problems with speed and movement (Haye seems to have finally developed good footwork, though Valuev made that part easy for him) will make it a fairly comfy evening for Haye, who is, if anything, starting to get underrated. Haye's biggest difficulty will be when Ruiz charges in head down - Haye struggles with those kinda guys. See Mormeck, though he still defeated him soundly in the end.
Let's not forget that the coolest cucumber of them all pre-fight was Lennox Lewis. Not a bad example to follow.
Nah just lil things i heard...someone told me he was said on soccer am that he was in Spearmint Rhino's till 4am last friday night. I just hope he doesn't overlook Ruiz that's all...i do worry as fights get closer for my favorite fighters.
