    But now...nothing.

Anyone who is following this is watching you flame out in the end.

It's out of exasperation that I'm cutting you off.

I just won't pursue a discussion with someone who keeps distorting things I say plus I answered your question more than once. I made my point, if you fail to understand it so be it.

I have laid out the evidence squarely, and you have continued to pursue every angle but the honest one, which is that you can't prove better training and preparation in any scientific way. And that was the claim I disputed and the one I am still waiting for a valid reply for.

If you want to call it a day, I'm fine with that.

It's not my point to prove better training in scientific ways, that's your misinterpretation. I'm quite sure now that you just read bits and pieces of what I write and jump on the first thing.

Accept it or not, my point was to cut some of the subjectivity surrounding past v. present fantasy fights and provide something to ponder. I think I also presented a levelled point of view by describing a phenomenon that has the potential to counterbalance the advances in sport training, namely the notion of emulation.

The argument is simple and it's the only one I've been defending all along: if athletes from various sports improved with time, why wouldn't it work the same way for boxing? Why, in other words, would evolution be dynamic in every other sports and disciplines while static in boxing? Doesn't make sense.

If every olympic records have been improved by 10 to 20% in a span of, say, 50 years why wouldn't it be reasonable to state that boxers improve as well with time (albeit not necessarily by 10 to 20%)?

Frankly there's nothing else I can add on this subject without repeating myself.
