Apparently his hand was already slightly injured before Chisora fight, but because of financial reasons they decided to go on with the fight.

Now that he has injure again it proves that he has a glass fist and is not destined to become a champion.

Helenius is irrelevant, he was a carefully manufactured hype job that was exposed when he ran into Chisora who has proven to be a true HW contender.

I am sure he will fight Wlad soon as he has a good record with a couple of names.

This current HW divison is just ****.

What i find strange is that after the Chisora fight he said he had injured his right hand during the fight. A week or 2 later it was going around that it was his shoulder that he injured.

    So which one is it?

Quite a hyperbole to argue the entire HW division is **** just because Helenius' career is stalling out in mid air.

Helenius is big problems are his workrate and his defense. He takes too many punches for a man of his size and he lets his punchrate slip a lot, relying on counter punches at times. I am not sure what can be done about his defense, however I was always thinking the sub-par workrate stems from conditioning problems. He's never looked mean and lean in the ring, always a bit soft around the hips.

He should at least consider a new conditioning and diet coach. I doubt that old potato sack of a trainer he has (he must be like 90 years old by now) is teaching him much in the stamina and diet department.

He had great potential but hasn't been same after the shoulder/arm injury 2011/2012. Hes main weapon was the right hand cannon which KO'd many but after they operated that arm it looks like it isn't the same anymore.

    1) Helenius is obviously conscious about it and doesn't use it as much as
    2) When he uses it it looks like it's about 50% of the power it used to be

He can very well just retire if he doesn't get that right hand to what it used to be before the injury.

I used to really rate Helenius, but now I think he's just another over rated heavyweight like Solis or Wilder.

    Absolute rubbish.

Did you not know about his tearing of his rotator cuff six wks prior to the fight?????:huh:huh:huh:huh

He did not spar a rd in the final six wks of training for Chisora. and the injury he sustained in the fight was in the first rd with the R hand that made DelBoy do the chicken dance all the way from post to post.

He was VERRRRYYY gunshy vs the 5-11 Tank Williams. Williams has broken more hands on his forehead than any other fighter I know. He simple boxed and moved and refused to get into a war with Williams.

Against Sprott, it was a little different. He rocked Sprott early and essentially put Sprott in running mode for the first 3 rds. But early in the 4th, Robbe threw an OH R that landed almost directly on the top of Sprotts head. He pull back wincing, and resorted to winging the punch the rest of the fight.

For 3 rds though......Helenius looked like the champion stopper he was coming up.

The good news in this all........His shoulder seems fine. He has the proper motion to throw those shots. And his hands will heal. The fractures to his metacarpals arent typically serious and can be stopped by a change in punch delivery, which Wegner, if he's half a brain, will work on during his next camp.:deal

You must not be a fan.

6 wks prior to the Chisora fight.....

    While doing roadwork.....

Robbe fell down a hill landing on his R shoulder, producing a minor tear to his rotator cuff and his labrum.

He took 6wks off training, and his dad/mgr, refused to let him delay the EBU title fight. He went into the fight injured.

During the first rd, he threw a striaght R hand that landed square on top of DelBoys forehead. It wobbled Del as Del did the chicken dance from post to post. It was then than he broke two metacarpals in his R fist.

Throughout 12 grueling rds, he was only able to wing the R hand. And during the course of the fight, the "minor" tears in his R shoulder became "MAJOR", possibly career threatening tears.

    Now you know......:deal:deal:deal:deal:deal
