Shame would have loved to see Magee embarrass Smith.

i thought magee was going to sign with warren, probably in mr warrens mind to give smith a euro shot and a route to a world title. thing is though magee is a proper super middle while smith is really a middle, magee has only lost to a gd version or robin reid, gave froch a great fight and by all accounts was robbed v tyspko in germany plus i think in magees mind hes on a last run to a world title fight and with the wbo being held by the german its a possibility

guess we will never know now though if he has signed with hatton. good for magee though

It could happen as this is why we have purse bids and mandatories..:good

I'd tip Paul to do Magee...:good

Agree with you on that Tony. Magee good boxer, but long in tooth and flattered by victory of the ancient drugged up Dane. Smigga is a tough guy. Not Floyd Mayweather, but a good engine and a proud *******. To be so badly cut against Dodson, from an early stage, and still wind up a clear points winner was no mean performance. Shades of Hatton v Thaxton.

Spot on.. If Reid can floor Magee 4 or 5 times then Im quite sure Paul can.. Paul would put on the performance of a lifetime Im sure of that!:good

They were also the worst cuts I've ever seen, Dodson is a strong super middle so to keep the energy levels like Paul did after losing at least 3 or 4 pints of blood was very special indeed!!

magee is a good boxer... if you let him fight at his own pace!! i believe smith has the beating of magee.

plus, smigga and hatton are good mates, but i dont think this would affect a possible fight between mcgee and smith at all.

yeah i dont understand why people say smith should go back down to MW. he hasnt showed any signs that he struggles at SMW. he has the strength, stamina and speed. just needs to settle down a bit and stop trying to knock his opponents heads off with every punch imo. he has everything but it just doesnt seem to come together for him imo.

Yep, You can say what you like about Paul Smith but he certainly showed pleanty of heart to battle through with those cuts. It looked real bad on Friday even in the cheap seats! I really didn't think they would be able to stop the bleading.

Congratulations Tony on the win by the way. Out of interest, when are you looking to fight next?

    One more point about Saturady...

Any idea why Kell Brook was on so early? I was assuming he'd be on second from last and missed most of his fight. My only guess was sky wanted some time to put together the highlighs??

Let's not have the debate abuot whether paul is a smw any more. He fought a guy who every one said was a genuine smw, and he dealt with it, along with what mick williamson said were the worst cuts he has dealt with.
Magee would be a massive fight, and a tough one, but we can't question pauls strength and heart any more, and we know they are there, we know he can cope with the big ocassion.
so the question to be answered is can he step it up against magee. They dont have many mutual opponents, and magee has fought at a higher leve, granted. But Paul too is stepping up his level. He has power, and underrated boxing skills. The only thing is magee is a southpaw, will this be a factor?

With regard to promotors, if there is money to be made, fwank will do a deal. End of the day it might lead to a world title fight, and fwank needs a new star alongside mitchell and clev

To be honest sky control the bill, Im hoping to be out again soon with it ending in 1 round.. Finally I see Paul fighting Magee, It's not even a question if Magee has signed with Hatton, If Paul is named mandatory or Brian is made Paul's mandatory it'll go to purse bids.. Either way I see it happening..;)

MAgee would murder Paul Smith... Robin Reid was 10 times the fighter Smith ever will be & So is Froch and he gave them both good fights!
