There's a world of difference between sitting down and talking about a deal, talks which could include demands Wilder is paid more after beating Fury than he is currently being offered, and signing a contract drafted some weeks ago. Surely you can tell the difference between talks and a legally binding contract?

Nope, it will potentially prove that he’s a box office draw in the U.S, which is the problem in terms of splits. Wilder’s already big in the UK in terms of his connection to Joshua. The demand for that fight among the casuals in the UK can’t really get any bigger.

Wilder does good PPV Numbers in the U.S though, and that changes things.

The point is his ready to start talking before the Fury fight. You are claiming Hearn wants to do a deal before the fight incase Wilder's stock rises yet Finkel is ready to talk.

If Finkel was made an offer next week and it gave him what he wanted they wouldn't give a damn about seeing what happens in the Fury fight.

Wilder has a contract. Its now up to Finkel to let Hearn know what they don't like and what the do like. They don't agree to the current offer fine, go back and negotiate.

I live in the UK. Beating Fury would raise Wilder's profile for sure. I agree his profile is better than prior to his Belfast trip but beating the unbeaten Fury would raise it further....

Considering GGG v canelo did 1 mil I really wouldn't be expecting wilder v Fury to do much.

    250k - 350k buys

How can Finkel effectively negotiate the correct value of his client when he can't factor in Wilder's raised stock for beating Fury? Hearn knows this all too well. There's more than four months from Wilder vs Fury until April 2019. There's absolutely no need to set a December 1 deadline to strike a deal. It's not like Hearn has an issue getting a deal over the line for Whyte should he need to. He only needs to negotiate with his shaving mirror in that case. That wont take four months. Four minutes more like....

We're not talking about Finkel. Yes, he wants to meet in October, but we have no idea what his agenda is. He might be planning to set out revised terms assuming his fighter beats Fury, terms that can only be relevant after the fight.

So let's flip this. Give me one good reason why Hearn is setting the deadline prior to the fight on December 1 other than the one I have suggested which is to eliminate the fact that Wilder's value will increase after a Fury win? So far you have offered no alternative theory other than mention Finkel wants to meet. Parking that one ambiguous aspect for a moment, what is Hearn's motivation for the deadline being set before the Fury fight?

But raising his profile in isolation, in say, Wilder himself being a draw, is not going to happen. Wilder’s profile in the UK, regardless of how he does, will remain in connection to another fighter, and that’s why his profile is already massive here, because he’s connected to Joshua as his nemesis.

Now if Wilder were to come here, do various fights, and do good PPV numbers as the main act then I would agree with you. My point being, the demand for Wilder/Joshua in the UK is already massive, but unless Wilder can create a demand in the UK for Wilder vs Whoever, his profile here will not grow anymore.

But the US PPV is something Joshua hasn’t cracked, and is is potentially what will give Wilder a much better hand.

Hearn’s argument has always been, “Wilder isn’t known in his country”. This could change that.

If Fury wins I'd expect Wilder will be exercising rematch clauses ASAP, unless it's such a beating that he doesn't think he can win. I just don't see that happening. I think Wilder's going to annihilate Fury. If he doesn't I think the Las Vegas judges and referee will do it for him.
