Still a better card than last two cards of Frank Warren. No big deal imo. You only can say a card is good or bad afterwards as the fights turned out to be ****. Askin vs Okolie is a good fight on paper and turned out as a shithouse **** fight.
Why do people keep mentioning Warren? It’s got nothing to do with him and, as far as I’m aware, he is not running a show on the same night.
BoxRec is littered with cards like this around the World, literally dozens, are you new to boxing or something?
If you read the thread you’d see what the gripe is. People pay good money for a Sky subscription to be served up absolute shite like this.
What? The **** does that mean? Hearn is one of the most active promoters out there. His guys always end up in big fights. You ****ers here can't seem to keep his name out of your mouths.
Fair point but at least Hearn is putting up a lot of shows, bad ones bound to happen. If you're Showtime sub, there's no boxing until probably January except Wilder-Fury which is a PPV.
I agree, this card could be great, could also be utter rubbish. I enjoyed saturdays Newcastle card, don't misunderstand me, it wasn't amazing but it entertained me and that's why I watch boxing, to be entertained.
No doubt, Hearn puts on good shows in the main but the last two Monaco shows have been pathetic on paper. I feel he should just scrap it from the calendar. The atmosphere is always dead anyway. It does feel like he just wants to go on a jolly out in Monte Carlo. Of course this could end up to be a cracking show full of quality 50/50s and I will be made to eat my words. But I doubt it. Yafai and Lebedev will be blow outs.
I'd attend this event but it's too close to Thanksgiving and I don't want to barf up all that turkey meat.
