Eddie Hearn has announced that Kell Brooks next fight will be July 7th at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena and says an opponent will be announced within a week.

    Who you reckon it'll be?

I'd love it to be Joshua Clottey!

Maidana makes most sense having come off the back of a defeat. Plus public know who he is having fought Khan

Clottey cant make 147, he tweeted couple of days ago.

Wont be Maidana he is going back to 140lbs to defend WBA title.

I dont think it will be a big name, after his performance at the weekend Zaveck could well fit the bill he didnt looked great against a guy Denton Vassell beat.

The Euro champ is a possibility - unbeaten, euro champion, highly ranked in WBA.

Defo not Mosley, Maidana/Clottey very unlikely IMO.

I kind of get the feeling that if it was a big name like the three above it would be announced at the same time as today's release. This has the TBA air about it.

    It's Paulie. Trust me.

    Adios.

    When's Malignaggi/Senchenko?

Zaveck would be the best fight IMO. Do a better job on him than Berto was doing and then you're talking.

Malignaggi is very unlikely too. There's about a ten week turnaround between the two dates. The Senchenko fight is far from a gimme too.

I'll go for Zaveck, Bundu or someone I haven't heard of!

Whoever it is, it will take something unbelievable to better that swashbuckling performance vs 'Magic' Matt Hatton.

    Agreed.

This is a stay busy fight i'd imagine waiting for a champ to become free.

Nice 28 - 2 record. Fancy foreign name. Might even trot out the old FW Promotions line of Never Been Stopped.

Alternatively, an old stager - what about the Collazo or Quintana?

    Take the test, Manny.

No not that one, stop sweating.

We're talking about the acid test. The Kell Brook test. 0% pass rate mudafukkaz

El Massoudi is a great shout, wouldn't surprise me at all and would get Kell closer the the easiest WW title. El Massoudi in July than the winner of Paulie-Senchenko in Oct/Nov, perfect scenario for Kell. :good

Dulorme is a beast, really like him and rate him highly but there ain't no chance that fight would be made yet. Thats one for a couple years down the road.
