This is interesting and now we'll get a better idea of whether Hearn-J did want Wilder all these years.
Because if you're set on AJ fighting twice, and you want the most money, it makes sense to call out Wilder right now win or lose against Usyk.
You do this before the value of AJ and Wilder drops too much with another loss for one or both of them. And before Wilder commits to something on a date that would stop it.

So come on, Hearn, call out Wilder. If AJ loses to Usyk, he can fight Wilder and the winner can go for the belts again. Why not do it and show everyone that it was Wilder ducking if that's true.

You're making an assumption Wilder would take that fight in the first place. I don't think he would as the only live dog he fought before was Fury and that was only because his team thought Fury was damaged goods. Maybe if Joshua loses more convincingly to Usyk and looks bad or gets stopped then it becomes a bit more viable.

It would instantly be construed as a sign of weakness, a lack of confidence in AJ winning the rematch. If he wins, what's the point of going to Wilder when the biggest fight in boxing is there to be made with Fury? If he loses, then he's either on a rebuild or retirement. If the former, then it would make more sense commercially and possibly also tactically to make the Wilder fight for the following summer, because each of them could then be coming into it on the back of an exciting KO victory over a hand picked opponent as well as 6 months of painfully scripted 'banter'.

If Joshua wins early, it would be nice to see him in the ring again quickly.

The WBA seems to be the sticking point. Bryan is fighting Dubois in a week. The WBA mandatory is long overdue. I don't think there has been a WBA mandatory defense in FOUR YEARS (since Joshua fought Povetkin).

Like Canelo did against Yildrim, the Joshua-Usyk winner may want to get that mando out of the way in December so next year can be clear for a unification.

Which makes Bryan-Dubois more interesting, since the winner likely gets the Joshua-Usyk victor next, whether fans like it or not.

But the WBA also announced the Hunter-Hughie WBA eliminator, so that fight could be to take on the Bryan-Dubois winner. You just never know with the WBA. Too many belts in one org.

    Absolute nonsense post.
Why on earth would you be calling out another fighter when you already have a fight lined up. As posted above there are so many different variables that can happen depending on who wins the Usyk fight.
