lol but joshua fought much better opposition than both . Wilder and Fury are certified ducks , not AJ.

They know it's effectively career over if Joshua gets KO'd by Wilder, especially early (it could easily be KO1). They see the Wilder fight as a cash out at best. They'd prefer the Fury fight as Joshua is not likely to get KO'd early and it's a bigger money fight for much more potential prestige. Less risk too: if you lose to Fury you're 2nd tier, if you lose to Wilder who got KO'd x2 by Fury then you're 3rd, in simplistic terms.

But if Joshua doesn't beat Wilder, does he bring enough to the table for Fury? Hearn and Joshua are at a quandary. My guess is that it will be Yoka next; another good low risk payday while Wilder, Fury and Usyk get older, Matchroom will reassess after that.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was the case. Joshua's recent comments about beating Wilder not doing anything for him long term, suggested he is holding a grudge (somewhat understandably given Wilder ****ed up both their legacies by not making the fight in 2019). Joshua did something akin to this in the 2019 Whyte negotiations as well.

I still want to see the fight, but I must admit I'd enjoy the schadenfreude of Joshua stringing Wilder along in some petty revenge.

Hearn will put off the Wilder fight as long as possible but at some point Hearn will be told by Dazn that they want a return on there big investment they put into Joshua and to get the Wilder fight made. The Heavyweight Undisputed fight with the Saudi money is the biggest fight in the Heavyweight division but I dare say without the Saudi money that Joshua v Wilder could be bigger, people simply want to see them fight . At this point in both there careers there is no bigger fight for either Joshua or Wilder .

Well the shine is already off the matchup as it is. They keep delaying it and nobody will care.

Fury is a far bigger fight for Joshua.

I will agree to disagree with you there for one simple fact and that is that fans have been waiting longer to see Wilder v Joshua as both these where Champions whilst Fury was retired, there was even a time when both could have had the Undisputed fight between them, the clamour for Fury v Joshua only started once Fury was back on the scene as well as the fact Fury would clown him. Wilder v Joshua in a lot of peoples minds is still a 50/50 fight and debate has raged on for years over who would win as well as it also being an American v Britain fight instead of an all British fight like it would be with Fury so a far bigger audience . jmo

America v Britain is irrelevant as Wilder doesn’t bring any audience, his fight with Helenius did 75k.
The fury fight is far bigger, it’s not even close.

    It’s
It’s a complete joke tbh,it’s the equivalent of saying Muhammad Ali was a work in progress after his loss to Leon Spinks when he lost the World titles for the second time .

What are you talking about? Hearn and DAZN offered Wilder $100 Million for a 3 fight deal (Stiverne + AJ twice) and Deontay "bet on himself".

Now Deontay begging for himself. Fool can wait.

Hearn being a fight promoter is honestly mind boggling. I feel bad for everyone who works for him

You do know Joshua/ Hearn/Matchroom refused a 50 million fight offer from Wilder and his team for the first fight and with a guaranteed 30 million for the winner in the rematch, that’s what I’m talking about ! Wilder and Joshua both ducked each other,Joshua ducking for considerably much more money than the take it or leave it flat fee offered to Wilder! Wilder isn’t begging for nothing,he’s sitting back waiting for the Saudi offer coming his way . Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought it was Brezeale not Stiverne as part of the three fight deal offered by Dazn ?
