Did you guys watch how uncertain AJ was after the fight, when they ask him about fighting Wilder ? That's his mentality. Hearn knows it.

    Why?
Never had a history of underpaying or withholding pay unlike many other promoters.
He’s the best promoter in the world, nobody else could make the likes of Bellew and Whyte ppv fighters.

Really he's had a lot to say about Frank who has been in the business as long as his father.

Ya sure maybe it was Brezeale. IIRC Wilder and PBC offered Joshua after he signed w DAZN...was just PR PBC BS as usual...like Tank or Jermall calling out relevant opponents...talk is cheap.

I think the main issue is AJ looks very uncomfortable even against someone like Helenius, nervous and gun shy.
I suspect Hearn was expecting better and it didn't happen, this explains the walking back and degrading Wilder. Team AJ don't want that smoke because they know at this point it's a non starter.
If it was on then they would be bigging Wilder up to hype the fight, that's not happened and as I stated years ago the recovery of AJ should have happened after the fight with Pudding, it's too late now as the damage has been done and he's taken a couple more losses, he's mentally broken and you can see it in his face even on the ring walk. AJ has made a load of money and his heart hasn't been in the sport for a while, he's done.

I've been calling for AJ vs Wilder fight from day dot.

However it's unlikely to happen as we seen with Wilders team avoiding the AJ fight for years, multiple times. Wilder admitted it, Wilders ex manager admitted it.

Wilder beat AJ? Lol is that why Wilder's best opponent isn't as good as the top 6 opponents AJ has beaten.

I think some fans want to think WIlder-AJ soon is what it meant many years ago. It isn't. Agree that all Brit or Brit vs. US doesn't mean much.
Fury has decisively beaten Wilder twice. How can Fury not be the bigger fight for AJ?!

Hearn's opinion of other fighters is almost always tainted by where they fit into his narrative at the time, none more so than Wilder.

If this Saudi Arabian thing ends up amounting to nothing, Hearn may come away looking sillier than he has from the Conor Benn farce.

The same Hearn who kept Whytes failed drug test hidden from Rivas as long as he could but jumped straight on Whyte when he was fighting Joshua his marquee fighter when another irregularity was found in testing.Says it all really .

One fighter has consistently sought out the best opponents and dared to be great, the other has fought bums and has beens but done so in an impressive fashion to woo the gullible and terminally clueless into thinking he's some great threat to all the top guys he's ducked. Who's ducking who? Not a difficult question to answer.

You're desperate not to see it because you'll never show your face on these forums again if Wilder wipes Joshua out, which he likely would. Not coincidentally, Joshua is the underdog despite his "resume" that you prattle on about and about 80% in forum polls claim that Wilder will win if the fight happens.

You've never even been able to tell me where you'd rate Wilder and Joshua in your top 10 if Wilder beat Joshua, that's how horrifying and depressing the mere thought is to you.

I'm wondering who Wilder will fight if not Joshua. He might have put himself into a corner by waiting around for him.

Wilder clearly expects to be paid well whoever he fights next (him demanding 70-30 against Ruiz attests to that), so going down the ESPN rankings (more casual audience friendly):
    1. Fury? - nope.
    2. Usyk? - tied up with mandatories.
    3. Wilder
    4. Joshua
    5. Ruiz? - not happened according to the WBC.
    6. Zhang? - think he would opt for Usyk, Fury, or Joshua over Wilder.
    7. Anderson? - Top Rank won't match him with Wilder just yet.
    8. Joyce? - same situation as Zhang above.
    9. Parker? - this is a possiblity, and will likely be PPV in Australia
    10. Hrgovic? - he's next in line for Usyk
    Other possibilities:
Whyte? - that would be a bit mad, but who knows - it would definitely sell
Makmuhdov? Sanchez? Wallin? - all dangerous and difficult to sell

I really think he should have taken the Ruiz fight, but looks like he is waiting on Joshua. Not a good position to be in.

    Good, straight forward review.

My question to you or anybody here. Between Wilder & AJ, who is the ducker now? Maybe it was Wilder years ago. Now it's looking more like AJ. At this stage of his career why does AJ need another tune up fight, another Franklin or Helenius?? And Eddies attitude.
AJ is catching up to Fury in the ducking meme. Fury-AJ would be a big part of a full solution.

Joshua was always the one who ducked Wilder and Fury.
    It's all become pretty obvious.

The narrative Fury was ducking Joshua was smashed when Joshua went on to book the guy who lost to Whyte BEFORE even booking Whyte, who Fury just beat, then filled in with a near-40 Helenius. Remember their excuse for not fighting Fury then was wanting Wilder.

But now they don't want to commit to the Wilder fight?

It should be clear by now Hearn and Joshua want Big Joshie protected as much as possible and it's always been that way actually.

How many 'warm-up' fights does a champion need after losing to one fighter on points and never being KD'd?
