I agree but if you go back and look at some of the crap the Hearn and Joshua bum boys were spouting (most notably the two I mentioned in my first reply to this thread), all the name-calling and point-scoring was being done by the Matchroom negotiation and financial accountant experts who were mocking Wilder for a "fantasy" offer. I've proposed in the past that we have a separate sub-forum for all fight negotiation and financial talk so that the real boxing fans can talk boxing on this forum.
Seems to say its a legit offer to me, he says he didnt believe it at first becuase Wilder emailed him! Thats fair enough but seems to me he believes the offer is there based on the fight taking place in America
The Hearn and Joshua fan boys will cling on to anything they can here. Even though Joshua is on camera saying that he would immediately agree to a 50 mil offer and sign a fight, if Joshua turns this offer down, the same fan boys will defend him as if their lives depend on it and say he's entitled to demand the fight takes place in the UK. Previously the argument was that the UK would generate the most money... 50 mil mother****ers.
To be honest i dont even care who wins out of the 2, im just sick of this fanboy bull**** and like calling people on on it when i can. Why people are like that is beyond me and imo i find it very strange grown men act in such a way.
True, he's gotten enough answers to believe it's doable as he clearly said there's more money for the fight in Vegas and I don't think he'd waste his time if he didn't believe it was possible. But I think he still wants it in the UK and will be looking to push for the fight in the UK even if it makes them a bit less and Joshua himself has confirmed that's his view too. I think money now is less of the issue but the venue maybe where negotiations could falter. Even if it does happen I don't think it will be until late 2018 and both will have an interim fight as I've seen nothing from either side saying they really want it next.
I presume the reason Hearn is so keen to have it in the UK is the fact that he has a deal with sky exclusively for UK flights only. He will literally get cut out of any PPV revenue and gate revenue. Will still make a % off AJ though.
If $50,000,000 is there for the Joshua fight, then why has Wilder only been paid $2,000,000 for previous fights? Why is he suddenly able to give 25x more money to an opponent than his own highest ever purse? It doesn't make sense. Here are some points to consider: Is the $50m already in escrow? Who is putting up the money? Is the $50m dependent on if Joshua signs the fight, ie are using Joshua's name to sell the fight and then give him a piece of the pie? What does the contract entail? Is Al Haymon going to put unreasonable clauses and sub-clauses in the contract meaning Joshua won't sign and making it look like a 'duck' thereby losing Joshua negotiating power?
As long as Sky broadcast the fight, Hearn will always make his money. All boxing on Sky is via Matchroom.
Not true. There was a reporter who ask Adam Smith and he said it's only exclusive for fights on UK soil.
Hearn has clearly stated in the video he wants/prefers the fight in Vegas as it makes 10-15 Million More, so SSo more money for Hearn, Joshua is now the Problem-he dosent want to go to the US eventhough he is getting more money, exposed to a population of 350 Million...I wonder why he dosent want to get on that plane ? He is the WORLD not British Champion
