There's $50 guarantee available as the fight will be a global event and PPV on UK and US television, tv rights bought by every civilised country in the world, massive hosting fee from Vegas and Sponsorships etc- you don't generate these type of reveuens for Wilder v Stiverne/Ortiz etc.

Also this who's paying the money nonsense, is not an issue for the public. It's not like Showtime, Vegas casinos etc would have an issue fronting the cash.

As others have said, I knew Finkel was being legit- Hearn thought he had all cards on his side, but Haymon has literally bought their cards and has the hand. The heat is well and truly on AJ to be a man of his word and take the fight.

 

No promoter is going to invest millions upon millions in a fight which brings low interest.

Why would Wilder be paid high figures for fighting the likes of Ortiz, Washington, Stiverne and Duhapas? Are these fighters huge names?

 

Thank goodness Hearn and Haymon have got together cuz Winkle and DiBella were making a right mess of things. I was suspicious of the money because 1st off it came from Wilder who does not have 50 million, then we got DiBellas crazy interview and then we got Winkle declining meetings and the only man that i believed could produce the money wasnt saying anything and its a crazy amount of money to put up.

Haymon is not about giving money away so it shows he has faith in Wilder beating Joshua cuz Haymon is never guna make this money back from this 1 fight alone it needs Wilder to win and then Wilder to become a megastar off the back of it. It is a big gamble cuz if Wilder loses he is guna end up less popular than he already is.

 

Don't mind admitting I was one that laughed at it all. The mans career high purse is 2 mil but him and his backers can stump up 50 mil????
