If that’s true then it’s good for boxing but it’s been proven that Hearn is untrustworthy and repeatedly contradicts himself.

What sort of numbers do you think DAZN are eventually looking to have subscribed after there bedding in period?

 

Come on I don’t like Hearn either but let’s give him his credit, he managed to make a big scoop.

 

Firstly by all accounts it was a direct deal between Hoya and DAZN. We don’t know if Hearn did a single thing to broker this deal.

Secondly, I just said in my post it would be good for boxing if that happened.

Thirdly, I give Hearn credit all the time. He probably has the best show of the year so far with Whyte-Parker.

 

Yeah but I’m pretty sure Eddie would have been the one to reach out. Nevertheless like you said it’s good for boxing, Dazn is blessing for boxing just like the PBC, ESPN and Showtime

 

Tbh only American fans should be getting excited by this. Here in the UK it’s PPV mania. They may not be as costly as US PPVs but every year we are getting more and more of them. I’d get excited if Hearn made moves to end PPV here. It baffles me that some Brits are wanking off to the Canelo news when we don’t even have access to DAZN and there’s been no word about whether Sky will be broadcasting Canelo’s fights.

In all probability he had little to do with the deal BUT he does benefit from it. Makes the platform he is on so much bigger. And he'd been saying since day one Dazn were big time players.

 

Well, they can't completely keep him out of the loop. That would be horrible move by DAZN. Basically have two promoters compete against each other on their own platform.
DAZN worked out a deal with GBP, and Hearn knows the details.

I hope we get more GBP vs Matchroom fights. They both have good stables. Makes for good fights. (as they have worked together on a few occasions and made some good fights)

 

Next year Haymon will be able to lock Horns with DAZN in terms of shows. All these guys will probably have 3 dates to show out so it should be great for boxing.

 

I have access to DAZN and I’m based in the UK. Not to mention Sky will broadcast the shows in the Uk.

 

Hearn said himself at the press conference they all had a meeting last Monday. You don’t **** off a guy you just gave a billion dollars

 

Second sentence is unconfirmed. There is no word on whether Sky will show Canelo’s fights. Also there is no legal way to access the boxing shows on DAZN in the UK. That’s why we have to fork out £20 to watch Joshua and the Americans get Joshua as part of their subscription.
