No mate. I'll be honest, I didn't say it before, but Macklin comes across like hes having a bit of a tantrum when being straight in the past, his honesty might be him being grumpy lol
Is it any wonder why the majority of uk boxing fans don't have a clue about the sport when they are listening and regurgitating what they hear from professionals who don't have any clue about the sport!
Rich coming from you buddy, you have to be up there with the top 10 most clueless people on this forum.
Same again on Saturday during the Brook fight. It doesn't normally bother me that much but by round 4 I felt like putting the TV through. Froch and Smith spent 12 rounds barely commentating on the fight at all. Instead, we just got to listen to them telling us how bad Brook's opponent was and how bad Brook looked. Not a great way to sell your product telling us this fella's been drafted in for Brook to spark out in a couple of rounds but it's not gone to plan.
Like you mate, I thought he was a good analyst but he was bad on the Monte Carlo show! I don't think it was a one off either. Froch and Coldwell are absolutely **** analysts. The whole team is way too biased. BT is better.
Bit off-topic and a few years old, but link to an article on the prep Neville and Carragher put in for MNF: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/f...-out-of-Gary-Neville-and-Jamie-Carragher.html Suffice to say I don't think you'd find Froch banging on Nelson's door an hour before the broadcast panicking because the research team hasn't managed to get him some dynamite clips of Usyk's footwork....
I'm loving the fact that after people demanding that the likes of Halling and Watt be removed we are now stuck with sky properganda mouthpieces like Adam Smith and Froch. Lovely stuff
