Seems like him and sky are working on something to make cards stronger. Didn't give much away but sounds like fewer uk shows. As the likes of Bellew, Brook,Haye, Khan, Groves, etc are gone or nearly gone and fighters going to the US where bigger money is there isn't the star quality of a couple of years ago so personally think the reduction in shows would be a good thing for fans.

To be honest it’s a combination of everything.

    - the budgets from UK broadcasters aren’t big enough

    - his stable has lost lots of quality / entertaining / big name fighters

    - he’s trying to do too much in America and padding it using his ultra thin UK stable.

I think fewer but better quality shows is probably the way forward from a business point of view. From a fans point of view I think it’s a bit ****, I’m already disappointed in the lack of boxing (on at a reasonable hour) as it is but at the minute I don’t think him or Frank or British boxing for that matter has the talent available to provide us with loads of shows a year.

Personally I'd rather watch competitive boxing than top quality. Ward vs Conroy was a cracking fight. Guess who showed it... ifl. There's more than enough entertaining boxers in the UK which is virtually why every Friday or Saturday I get a notification from YouTube there's an mtk card on.

Essentially I think Hearn hasn't a clue about boxing outside of Froch sells lots of tickets AJ sells lots of tickets.

The eye for quality is with warren. Imagine what warren could do with the slick production of sky sports.

On your first point about budgets mate - are they lower than say 5 or 10 years ago?

The biggest problem to me is that puddings are demanding PPV and it needs to stop

The rights fees will be around 200k per Sky Sports show so less of them could mean very decent fights.

The lack of competitive 50/50 area title fights have really hurt Sky’s cards in the past couple of years.

Somehow warren now has a great stable compared to hearn and I never thought we would see that again.

Fair play he had to try and crack America but it's ba

A reduction of shows might up the quality - but unfortunately, that may also increase the chances of more PPV’s - filled with known names, but no stand on their own stars ... Price & Chisora might be in for a busy year.

I’d be astonished if Dave Allen doesn’t main event a PPV in the next 12 months, probably as an opponent for Whyte in the traditional pre-Christmas shitshow.

Alexander Usyk v Pudding Whyte - a gentle introduction to the Heavyweight Division for the man I think could be the the most difficult opponent for the World Heavyweight Lineal Champion.

    Warrington
    Billy Joe Saunders
    Fury
    Frampton
    Massey
    Yarde
    Tete
    Caterall

Not a bad list of the top of my head

Hearn would want all of the above if he could!!
