"It's not my place to criticize fighters, but Canelo and Golovkin may go down as the biggest duck of all-time. You get mandated to fight a guy for your title, and you vacate and move down.... People talk about the similarities of Brook-Golovkin to Canelo against Khan..... the only similarities, the only association there is that you had two guys who were ducking the other two,"

"Canelo-Golovkin is the biggest fight in world boxing. He's running from Golovkin. He's talking after [his last fight in] the ring - 'we'll do this, I'm proud, etc.' - The fight is there. Golovkin is the easiest guy to deal with. [Golovkin's promoter] Tom Loeffler is the easiest [guy to negotiate with and] make a fight. [Canelo] don't want the fight."

Hearn tells it like it is. :good

    Well it's the truth.

No matter how you want to spin it Canelo dropped his WBC title rather than defend it against his mandatory and if any other fighter did that it would be regarded as a blatant duck and that's exactly what it is.

The self acclaimed "business experts" have been proved wrong time and time again in recent months and now all they have is "it will happen in 2018, or 2019".

Basically when we are all past caring and Golovkin is on the verge of retiring.

Good to see Eddie praising a fellow promoter.
    Kind of rare in boxing.

I'm starting to believe that Canelo had been better off taking the fight and getting completely lit up and knocked out, and it would have done less damage to his reputation as it does now.

If you take this exact same scenario but switch Canelo's name with someone like Kostya Tsyzu or Lucas Mattysse, then you would see every single troll on this board do a complete 180° turn

One thing we know about Hearn is he's prepared to speak his mind, like I knew he would when Eubank Snr stopped his kid from fighting GGG,his interview after that was very frank in that he even explained the economics that go into making a fight.
Nice touch about Golovkin being easy to deal with, dealing with GGG and Kovalev is easy work as they don't care where they fight and aren't reliant on home advantage or dare I say it corrupt judges,I'm glad that someone as respected as Hearn is prepared to let everyone know what a diva Canelo is.

My only one critisism of Loeffler so far has been them not prepared to pay enough to get Golovkin the fights against his long list of duckers,I'm not sure it would of made any difference but still if the offer was there they couldn't use money as an excuse?

with that said clownelo should demand that gstring get a respectable fight on his resume. right now gstrings resume is less interesting boxings famous referee list.

if gstring refuses to get a name on his resume that people respect f him. ran from bhop, ducked froch, denied knowing lara, said ward was too big. no resume no fight.

I love how the promoters are taking most of GGG fans for a ride  :deal

If you guys really believe that Canelo-GGG will not happen, and that both sides aren't letting the fight "marinate", then you guys are swallowing hook, line and sinker.

It's so obvious that they are hyping the fight to death using Pac-May blue-print.

But a lot of you are so short sighted, and some of you are straight up dumb. You GGGstans are so gullible. :deal

Resident troll thinks it's all part of the plan on Canelos part to give away his belt and look like a coward in front of the world,in fact he's so prepared to fight GGG he's gone back to 154 a weight he's not made in ages, answer your phone tomorrow lol, this so called agreement you seem to think is based on what.

Like Canelo as a fighter but don't try and twist things just so you can defend his actions, you talk of being gullible, this Canelo has proved that most folk aren't gullible as they're not prepared to follow his s*** anymore?
