Number two you are ignoring the FACT that Canelo has lost some fans over these recent actions. The Mexican fan base has specific tradition and this is like rubbing nails down a chalkboard. If you think his PPV numbers are going to maintain, or grow, then guess what you're doin' that female thing again

Number three you are assuming the B side in this equation will never improve upon his popularity, and that everybody's preferred two years from now will be a direct trajectory from this point (Canelo rising, GGG bummin' it out)

For the record, Oscar stole the whole "marinate" thing from Angie Dundee, who used it for Leonard-Hearns I. And stole the whole a-side, b-side nonsense off of Floyd. Oscar thinks he can use other peoples stuff for Canelo, but I think he is going to find out that it is going to backfire. Canelo is no Leonard or Hearns, or Floyd for that matter. Incorrect. I am not assuming that. YOU ARE ASSUMING like a female assumes that I don't realize It's obviously a risky move. I work in the Securities industry, and it is common knowledge that the riskier/aggressive the investment the greater the return, but on the same token, the risk for loss is also greater. Its part of business, its understood. No offense to women of course.

It really does not appear to me that you are looking at this situation from a business perspective. I understand you're just a fan, and will look at it from a fan perspective, but the REALITY of the matter is that this is a business first. I'm sure Canelo lost fans, but when he fights GGG, and if he puts on a good show even in losing, and if he actually beats GGG, all those fans he lost will come back 10 fold. Its a risky move they made, but one worth making if they have belief that they can win the fight.

IMO the PLAN is to HELP GGG's popularity grow. After his pathetic PPV, I'm sure GBP who has a a very rich history with successful PPVs thought they needed to do something to maximize profits by helping hype GGG, hence Alvarez inviting GGG into the ring, and GGG and Canelo both fighting well known brits. I wouldn't even be surprised if GBP helped K2 with ideas to better promote GGG.

As long as the fight is made within the next year and a half, I won't have any problems with GBP and Canelo.

But I disagree with most of your premise. The time was now, when Canelo had a belt. Stalling the fans and taking **** fights does not help build this.

Neither does dogging your brand, as of now he's got one foot on a banana peel and the other I presume is going to eventually step in with a live 160. If not then I guess yeah I'm too dumb to follow the plot

The time is now, but the time will be better tomorrow for this type of event.

The more people talk about it, the more numbers it will do.

For example, take a look at all the Canelo threads made by GGGstans every single faulkin day...Look at all the GGG threads. There are more Canelo and GGG threads today than there was even 6 months ago.

Even with the claims that Canelo is losing fans, it doesn't mean that he will sell less. Mayweather lost a ton of fans as he became more annoying, and more boring to watch through the years, yet still sold a bunch of PPVs, because some wanted to watch him dance, some wanted to see him lose.

You GGG fans and Canelo haters need to get a grip, relax, and let the fight get made.. Listening to all you guys' :| gets old, fast.
