Refusing to believe a thing I'm reading about Joshua-Povetkin, Joshua-Wilder or Joshua-anybody else for that matter.

The amount of misinformation being circulated is absolutely astonishing.

Negotiations are taking place. That's about all we can be sure of.

    Joshua wants to become undisputed.....

    And Povetkin is Mandatory.....

    So both are clearly true.

I can't see Povetkin taking step aside money though......
If Wilder becomes Undisputed, Joshua is still the bigger cash cow.

As I said, negotiations are taking place. That's about all we can be sure of.

The 'I can't sees' and 'Ifs' are just guesswork.

I wonder if a consideration about Povetkin perhaps having money behind him to try to make the fight go down in Russia is something in play? Joshua arguably had some hometown/friendly refereering in the Parker fight, as did Wilder getting the maximum recover time against Ortiz. This could be the difference in an even fight, and a rematch with Joshua in the UK would be a great future fight for anyone who gets a close (even controversial) decision. Povetkin wouldn't want to be in a position where he's prevented from fighting on the inside, and would be especially wary of this after the Parker fight.

    'friendly refereeing'.....

Go back and watch the fight.

Parker wanted to get in and out, not fight in a telephone box.

Joshua fighting in Russia certainly wouldn't be near the top of Hearn's list of things-to-do.

    Wasn't on Wilder's either.

    Why has Wilder ducked Povetkin?

Povetkin has failed a few tests. Some would even go as far as to suggest he's a drug cheat.
