And Wilder nearly quadrupled AJ's last American audience despite being up against UFC, basketball games and something else that escaped my mind.

Besides, Wilder brings MUCH more than an extra 2million dollars. This is a mega fight. AJ deserves more, of course he does. Don't pretend Wilder doesn't contribute massively here. This will EASILY double the PPVs for Parker.

    60/40 is fair.

See that would be of importance if this 'American audience' added value to the fight.

It's like claiming 'illegal streams' somehow add value lol.

AJ fighting Wilder beats the Klitschko PPV record with ease and easily doubles the Parker PPV buys, probably trebles.

He deserves a higher percentage than Parker. Any other argument is moot.

Klitschko drew higher figures in the US than Wilder does....

    Where is your logic?

Wilder v Ortiz - 1.2 million US Viewers
Klitschko v Jennings - 1.7 million US Viewers

Klitschko v Joshua - Klitschko brought in over 10 million German viewers

I'm not saying you're wrong or having a dig, I am genuinely interested..

How do you come up with these figures?

Wilder doesn't have PPV figures, he hasn't fought in front of big live gates, he earns around 2 million a fight (being generous there).

Surely if he did big PPV numbers, sold tons of tickets he would be earning a lot more each defence right?

In the UK, Parker/AJ certainly done less than Haye/Bellew which done 700k buys. You get a good idea by listening/talking to your casual mates and seeing the general casual reaction on Twitter. The klitschko fight according to Hearn done over 1.5million, granted he might be exaggerating a little. The Wilder fight will certainly get more buys than that. Don't get it twisted, the casual's know Wilder. Hearn is deliberately downplaying him. He has done good numbers on showtime as well when up against solid competition on the same night.

    He deserves 40%.

Wilder likes being the big fish in the smaller pond.

    Can you blame him?

Klitschko got 50% in the Joshua fight... At least, rumours are he got more. I'm saying Wilder should get 40% and for good reason. This will get more buys than AJ-Klitschko & Wilder brings the WBC belt.

Do you want the fight or not? That's me done, I'm not gonna continue talking about finances. We are fans not matchroom accountants. 40% is perfectly fair, and if you can't see Hearn is deliberately setting up barriers then I dunno what to say.

Stop talking about finances and then claiming we shouldnt be talking about finances.

And 25% is more than fair.

LOL so he should it was in prime time wasn't it? So all these viewers who were watching TV anyway especially sport are going to now buy a PPV?

I doubt it.. Really Wilder should already have PPV card to show what he actually brings in AJ does, Parker did but all I see in defence to Wilder is oh on Sat night heaps of people turned in... Heaps of people tune in the the darts as well but it never goes PPV does it...

Prime time free to air doesn't correlate to PPV success at all. All it means is viewers how were going to watch TV anyway choose to watch part of the fight.

Why would AJ give away 40% to someone who for all we know doesn't brings anything other than a belt which is only 25% of the fight value.

When Wilders team have something to show that deserves more then they should get more.. .

The numbers game being played here could not possibly be more meaningless.

There's no magic formula and no correct answer in all this. They will either come to an agreement or they won't.
