He is obviously making money on them otherwise he would have scrapped them.

Is It really his decision though, I would imagine SKY are happy with Prizefighter numbers hence why they increased the amount of Prizefighter in the last Matchroom contract.

Wouldn't mind if the Prizefighters just concentrated on doing 3 International Heavyweight Prizefighters a year as long as they managed to get some decent guys together rather then scrubs.

Just don't pick slick boxers to take part in the competition, get 8 knockout artists from around the world including 2 British or UK Heavies and let's see which banger comes out on top.

Yeah. As i said i'd rather they just focused on getting 8 knockout artists together and not choose those fighters who are gonna prod and poke their way to winning it.

Maybe up the Prize money to say £50k for winner, £30k for runner up and so on.

An example of choosing 10 Heavyweight Knockout artists all going for it and who would be available would be something like:

David Price(if he loses rematch to TT)
Amir Mansour(needs fights and exposure quickly)
Alexander Ustinov(Not much happening for him after Pulev defeat)
Ian Lewison(deserves another chance in it)
Dillan Whyte(once his suspension runs out)
    Leif Larsen
    Alex Leapai
    Richard Towers
    Tony Grano
    Vinny Maddelone

Then I have no interest in watching 90% of Hearns shows anymore. Bar Prizefighter all of his cards were just full of mismatches that nobody wanted to see. Now that he has an ok fight coming up with two old shot fighters that got dominated every time they stepped up against World class talent like Ward and Calzaghe he's acting like this alright fight is the rumble in the jungle. He's pulling the wool over your eyes and you lot can't see it. mainly due to the wool.

Agree with most of this but Prizefighter is a great concept but mostly poor execution, could be so much better with some tweaks and proper match-making.

Regarding Kessler-Froch, it's definately a good fight but agree whoever wins is only number 2 and a long way off Ward who beat them both easily.

I like prizefighter but they have been over relying on them. You can see why they make good business sense, no need to risk one of your high level British title fighters in a competitive bout he could lose when they're only a couple of wins away from a European or even world title shot, but with prizefighter you can through a bunch of novices and journeymen in together and still shift all the tickets you have, plus get better ratings than a typical show.

The problem is, and the last one shows it, when they have a date for prizefighter then have to scrape around looking for guys to fill it. Rather than drawing up a shortlist of guys who'd be really good for a prizefighter, then booking it. The quality showed on the last one, which was pretty awful

There's also the problem of the guy who fights last just before the final barely having a breather before getting back into the ring and then being at a serious disadvantage.
