Hearn: If Fury decides not to fight Usyk, next in line is Hrgovic (if Dubois doesnt win)

So the world heavyweight title fight between two undefeated fighters for 4 of the world title belts will be on the undercard of a fight between two heavyweights, one who has lost 3 of his past 6 and the other who has lost 2 of his past 3. Say what?

 

This is actually useful from Hearn, applying some pressure to Fury this way. If everyone ignores him and just 'moves on', Fury will be more likely to do something to take the limelight back.

There is no news about Usyks next fight.

He beat AJ and that's it ? No pressure on him ? He don't need to be active and proof his elite status ?

 

Genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Usyk lost to Hrgovic. Hrgovic is an unknown quantity at this stage, and while Usyk is the heavyweight king, he's still only beaten one elite heavyweight. The last few years of Usyk's career depend on how well he can adapt to being in his late 30s and manage the decline of his athleticism. Of course, there's always the chance that Usyk's movement is so far beyond other heavyweights that even at 37. 38 etc. he could still make them look flatfooted

Personally, I wouldn't mind Usyk retiring 20-0. His AJ wins might age well depending on whether AJ has a comeback, and Fury has scuppered Usyk's chances of winning the double-undisputed race

Tyson Fury is a gigantic bellend

 

He agreed to fight Fury, Fury is universally considered to have ducked. He then greed to fight anothe Frank Warren fighter in Dubois, won purse bids and shock... Nothing's happening from Franks end.

 

He already is by trying to make the Francis Ngannou fight.

It's the least risk and potentially a massive payday by piggybacking off the MMA community

 

It was long time ago. WBA said that Dubois fight would happen at least at the end of the summer. but still no news.


There are other HW's who deserve tittle shot. Stop holding the division. Either fight or vacate/strip him.

 

Usyk will not fight Hrgovic because there is a certain risk of defeat, after all, Usyk may never even fight again if the fight with Fury definitely falls apart. Hrgovic should turn to other solutions, not hope for a fight for the title and waste time waiting...
