One thing Hearn can't be knocked for is drawing a crowd. Campbell and Coyle being a recent example, 5 years ago that fight would have taken place in a leisure centre in front of about 500 people. Hearn sold out a 15k outdoor arena with it and both boxers got paid better for it. That in turn makes the sport look more attractive to potential fans and sponsors which in turn again the boxers win from.

Its basically their darts model thrown onto boxing. If anything I think the PPVs are more Skys doing than Hearns.

  3. 100%.

He is obligated to put on a mandatory number of them, regardless of the quality of the card.

Sky made darts, they put way more money into football which has improved the coverage and the entertainment value. I am not much of a darts fan myself but even I could tell going from a few fellas in a small venue to an arena rammed full of people is a positive change. Football has a mixed bag really but overall I still believe they have done a good job on it.

No doubt there's loads of money sloshing around if you're a boxer or promoter, but what a sh!tty deal for the fans. The only folk who lap up all the Sky/Matchroom hype are the mugus. Plenty of them around though..

  6. Darts is a game where the number 1, a small fat balding bloke, can make £1.3m over a two year period and we're told they've ****ed it up. Do me a favour.

Here's the thing though again as a keen fan of boxing Coyle and Cambell was always going to be a miss-match. But 15k people turned out for that because they were happy to pay the money as it was a local home town rivalry.

I find the same people that complain about poor matchups are the same people who complain about Rigondeaux/Ward being boring. If it was about quality fighting skills ward and rigonedeaux should be making as much money as floyd.

Boxing as much as people hate it, is a sports and entertainment business. Skill unfortunately don't pay the bills unless you have a product to sell. For boxing to change it needs to become a mainstream sport again and I just don't see that happening in this day and age.

Eddie Hearn really does like the sound of his own voice don't he? And like a little lap dog Beachie can't get enough of it

Absolute rubbish. More PPVs and Tickets are being sold so if its a poor deal for fans the numbers clearly aren't showing it. If people weren't happy they wouldn't spend their money. Hearn is reaching out to more people than 50 blokes on a boxing forum, in reality people on here aint his target audience like it or not.

Hearn is answerable to A) His Clients B) His Broadcaster. Both seem pretty happy with the job he's doing.

You sound like the sort who's quite happy seeing women and kids at boxing shows and the prawn sandwich brigade at football maches.

Also I didn't say Hearn wasn't successful at whatever it is he's doing. All I'm saying is as far as THIS fan's concerned it's a load of sh!te.

So you don't like women and children showing up at boxing events. What a sad man you are.

Your one of the few who want the 200 hardcore watching while everyone else stays away.

Thank fcuk hearn has moved darts and boxing away from people like you.

Calm down I don't have the same opinion as you, that okay?

No I don't want to see women at boxing (and definitely not kids). If I want to see women I'll go to a club..

  15. Had you had the bottle to come meet Solaris and know for a fact he's bald, I'd agree.

Instead you acted the big man on the phone whilst hiding under your single bed in your bedsit.
