    Beterbiev, Vargas, Andrade, Roman.

That's his amazing roster of the biggest stars in world boxing.

Either of the new WBSS tourneys had a better roster than he has come up with. DAZN should have given the Saurlands that fake billion lol.

Also, Hearn and that PED filled hoe AJ have shown their hand here. Plan has always been Poventkin, then Miller, then the Whyte rematch. His ducking of Wilder is disgusting.

ROTFL. What a total loser bullsheeting coont Hearn has proved to be again here.

I said it all along. This DAZN deal was BS from the start. They've given Hearn very little and he's had no power to really sign anyone or do anything. He's a been made to look a fraud again and his reputation in the US is now through the floor.

He said there was gonna be a big a huge launch event where he'd parade all his stars. He said so many things. He's fallen flat on his face and now Matchroom is not even the best boxing content on DAZN. Praise the lord for the WBSS.

FYI, with their $10 price point, they will need OVER 1 MILLION PEOPLE to subscribe to DAZN all year every year for all 8 years to even generate $1bn of TURNOVER! If the whole company has no hope of generating 1bn in 8 years, can someone tell me how they're gonna give just one of their content providers anywhere near that?

He flopped so hard. He expected to have the Charlos, Broner, Wilder, Keith Thurman etc kicking off the press conference and in the end we saw a catwalk of absolute nobodies on stage and then senile Michael Buffer was the marquee signing. Just lmfao.

Yodelling Katie Taylor, undercarder Andrade, undercarder hooker, Broner's sloppy seconds in Vargas and then a few more NXTGen-tier prospects, again just lmfao. Jarell Miller preferred to be in Burger King rather than the press conference.

That press conference was Mick Hennessy levels of embarrassment.

Definitely underwhelming.. the best case scenario if Jacobs getting the IBF belt setting up a match between Jacobs vs Andrade.. Hearn has said he will discourage Andrade from fighting BJS.. And Beterbiev attempting to unify LHW.. Can’t see him getting far with Vargas Hooker and Chavez Jr.. One has to imagine how much does Haymon do for his guys behind the scenes for all of his top level guys to not even consider Eddies offers..

Definitely not what I was expecting, very underwhelming.

Only positive for Hearn is that Joshua/Povetkin will be on DAZN, but he can't just keep relying on Joshua.

He'll need to dig a little deeper in his pockets to sign some better names. It's still too early to say this deal will be a flop a lot of things can change but it's not lived up to the hype so far.

He should do a deal with Haymon. Haymon has all the fighters but that fund he put together for PBC must be running low on funds if he's paying Spence and Garcia 3.5 mill. Would be mutually beneficial. Haymon supplies the fighters, Hearn supplies the platform and funds, could even be called DAZN PBC boxing.

Yes, kind of... His biggest mistake was hugely underestimating the budget needed to get those top American boxers.

    ? What kind of math did you do there? (9.99USD x 15mil x 96months =14billion)
They would need just over 1m monthly subscribers to "break even".

But even so, 1million is quite the number. But at the end of the day they need to break even on what they spend.
The list of fighters DAZN has atm should not be very expensive.

Boxing on DAZN is not a failure at the moment. It´s just not the 1BILLION MEGA EVENT! Hearn shot himself in the foot with that first mega announcement. But it doesn´t mean that the whole thing is a failure.

    Give it more time.

it's hardly bad, especially considering more names are to come. but it is definitely underwhelming, you'd like to have seen at least 1 star at the initial announcement

But DAZN is not all about boxing, as far as I understand. And their other chosen sports/entertainment lines have budgets as well.

Not bad, but rather somewhat disappointing, considering very high initial expectations. By the way, we don't necessarily know their real expectations. Maybe what Hearn was declaring was just partially bluffing in order to get more publicity and to get more fighters, but their real first year goals were not that high. But, having said that, it's rather obvious that Hearn was sure he would be able to get guys like Broner and Garcia to sign with DAZN... And that didn't happen.

This will backfire if Matchroom continues this strategy. They won't get good viewing numbers in US.

Shaefer will take over as promoter on DAZN when Hearn burns out.
