    A page out of Floyd-Pac..

Delay the fight to get people to talk about it.

If Joshua doesnt eventually fight the best American HW then he is being a *****.

If Wilder prices himself out then he's being the *****.

The question is how much is fair? Golovkin got 3 times his biggest payday to fight Canelo.

    Maybe thats fair for Wilder.

Why risk Wilder losing to someone else? That can only detract from Joshua-Wilder. That fight is the biggest fight out there already. But Hearn is concerned about Wilder's power and will continue stalling the fight as long as he can.

Would it not be bigger after Wilder faces Brezeale and Joshua faces Parker? They seem like the next 2 fights coming up.

It annoys me how all of a sudden Wilder and his team are crying for the AJ fight whilst WBC ordered the "final eliminator" and now Brezeale is a Mandatory.

A Joshua-Wilder unification fight can be made. None of the reasons Hearn is offering up are insurmountable. Only convenient.

I would assume there would have been a few very loose informal conversations here and there about Joshua Vs Wilder between Hearn and others at some point.

I haven't listened to that interview yet but if Hearn is saying "there has been no contact" then I will assume he means genuine offers or the start of serious negotiations.

Surely if anybody had sent Hearn emails regarding the fight or trying to start serious negotiations then they could and probably would blow Hearn out the water and make him and Joshua look very silly by just releasing the copies.

In my opinion they haven't made an offer to Joshua because they haven't got the money to make a serious offer and if they did they know Hearn would tell everybody on IFL what that offer was and people would ridicule them for the poor amount it would be.

If Wilder is earning 1-2 million a fight as a champion then how on earth are they matching or bettering what Joshua gets filling Wembley or The Millennium Stadium?

Wilder and his team and doing a lot of shouting, screaming, boasting and calling out but haven't got anything to back it up with.

    All mouth and no dollars.

Always found it weird that certain promoters/managers get a bit of a cult following. Bob Arum used to have one at the height of "talk to my promoter." Schaefer had one when he emerged as competition to Arum. Oscar had one basically from the same fans who loved him as a fighter. Haymon had a big push when PBC arrived. And now Hearn is getting worshiped... why? Odd.

Wilder calls in. Hearn tells him that the fight will happen and backtracks from **** talking he did earlier in the podcast.

He is actually kind of hated here in the UK. Just that I dislike Dibellend much more than I dislike Hearn.

What's been Deontay's biggest payday? Isn't he getting offered three times his previous highest payday just to fight Whyte, a guy he should on recent evidence easily beat?

Hearny is becoming a big deal on this forum lately... As for DiBella he was cool as hell back 5-10 years ago. He would call it like it was more than most other industry folks. But his power waned and he became a little bitter. Either way, I never "rooted for" him and I agree he's no longer even someone I can say I'm interested in ever hearing from.

I just spent a whole day arguing with most of you guys ... and YOU INSISTED Hearn simply couldn't make a Wilder fight until the summer because there were no venues until then, and you had to have a Joshua fight in the summer to maximize profits and the WBA was going to block Joshua from fighting anyone but their mandatory.

A couple hours later, Joshua is fighting Parker in March.

    No problem finding a venue.

No need to maximize the ticket sales.

No mandatory WBA defenses have to be made first.

Hearn's ducking Wilder. Simple as that. Clear as day.

Every reason he couldn't fight Wilder, suddenly those excuses go out the door when Joseph "I needed two gift decisions to keep my belt" Parker's name comes up.

    What a joke.

    Is he?

If Hearn is serious he should make Wilder a reasonable offer.

I understand AJ is the A side and should rightfully get the Lions Share. Hopefully Hearn is serious and does whatever it takes to make this fight happen. Wilder is a huge scalp to own.

As far as accomplishments and ability, I think AJ is a special talen but I'm really not too impressed with his win over Wlad. Its nice to have for the record, but Vlad was confirmed shot against Tyson Fury. He put a nice effort against AJ and even had some good success, but even Wilder would have KO that version of Wlad.

I think both fighters need each other. Lets see if the fight can materialize sooner than later.

I want to see the fight although I think Wilder gets taken out early and brutally.

As for the Whyte fight, I really don't see what Wilder has to lose by smashing up Whyte for a big payday. Literally anyone other than Deontay and Joshua would bite Hearn's hand off to earn 4m to beat someone as limited as Whyte.

So anyone picking Parker to score a crushing KO over Joshua?

    No?

Can't even imagine that? Neither can I.

Parker's gotten worse with every fight since he was handed a gift decision and the WBO belt.

Parker really "backed in" to this event. What a freaking total waste of time.

I guess Hearn didn't think they needed to MAXIMIZE revenues and delay the Joshua-Parker fight in the summer?

    This week sucks already.
