Will be interesting to compare the numbers won't it ? I take it you know what lucrative means so please break it down for me how does this fight make the money ? Your estimated Gate ? Estimate UK ppv viewers ? Estimate us ppv viewers ? International rights revenue ?
Still salty from the pasting you took on that other thread eh? Well here's what lucrative means for you so there's no confusion: This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected So I'm saying that Wilder-Fury will produce a great deal of profit. So much so that it eclipses anything since the good old days before Voidimir Beechko killed the division. The hilarious part of all this is that it's due to the thing you were just whining about in the other thread. MASSIVE US PPV PRICES!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Thanks son. You made my day x
lucrative in your opinion. joshua and hearn probably still makes more than both fury/wilder with a fight against whyte so no worries. whats the purses for fury/wilder if you know he makes bank?
More son. They take home more. That's why AJ sour. His next fight with Whyte has NO US PPV. That means Wilder-Fury can do shitty numbers on both sides of the pond and still crap all over the big stiff idiot. Now add in the fact the average ticket price is astronomically higher for Wilder Fury than any AJ fight and you have them potentially making much more money at the gate, but at worst doing the same for tens of thousands less tickets sold and a much lower running cost for the event. Now add in the international intrigue of having the best Brit HW against the best American HW compared to AJ versus some mug he already sparked who's done nothing since. AJ and Hearn are Primark. Wlider and Fury are Louis Vuitton.
I think the fight does great if it grosses 50 million dollars , I expect it to do 25-35 million which is good but not great. What do you think ?
I'm really hoping Wilder Fury does as well as possible. I'm rooting for the winner to make a legit case for themselves that they not only would be on a par with AJ on resume (which the winner will be), but that their box office performance is comparable enough to justify a 50/50 or near 50/50 split. That said, there is no realistic scenario where Fury Wilder brings in as much money as AJ Povetkin did. You can have a realistic debate about whether Fury Wilder has a higher POTENTIAL earnings capacity than AJ. But right now, AJ is making MUCH more money, and even the Fury Wilder mega clash will be very lucky to come close to AJ's last fight.
You're 100% wrong. I read the gross for AJ-Povetkin was under £30mn. So we're in the region of 300,000 US PPV, 300,000 UK PPV plus the gate and international rights being enough to blow AJ out of the water. I expect Wilder-Fury to do closer to double those numbers. If the fight exceeds expectations, AJ is screwed.
