Whyte is a mismatch. Pulev is decent. Usyk will beat him.

Usyk wont be mandatory untill he beats a WBO top 15 and hes injured until September. Pulev has out of the ring suspension issues whilst Whyte and Fury will be ordered if they win their fights. I'd say Hunter is a strong possibility for a candidate epescially if he gets a good win soon, which is plausible as he didnt break into a sweat in his last fight.

All 4 would be decent opponents.

AJ needs some credibility after the Miller debacle.

That said, He faces Pulev !

I believe Whyte want the Wilder fight as he believes it’s a better fight for his style. Plus he knows with a few wins he the AJ fight is always there for him. Plus the mandatory doesn’t include a rematch clause.

The Pulev fight in the UK seems the best option for AJ. Let the Usyk fight build. Easily winnable fight and would sell out Cardiff. Keeps sky PPV happy and DAZN keeps there budget for the Wilder fight.

    It will be Pulev
As people have said get the mando out the way

I actually think its a solid fight for a mando
Uysk not yet, lets see him build a name in this division

Whyte would be a good barny for sure but i genuinely dont care if he gets nothing now after turning down a life changing opportunity

Pulev is a pointless fight, Joshua wins easy.

Whyte is a slightly tougher fight but again Joshua should be a clear winner

Usyk isn't ready for the top HWs yet.

Sounds like the proper top HW fights of Joshua, full on Fury (not the 50% that fought last year) and Windmill fighting each other isn't even on the agenda now.

HW boxing sucks at the moment.

erm it wasn't AJ that was roided to the gills. The debacle was of fat boy Miller's making , excarbated by the likes of Kownacki and Ortiz running away when offered to be Miller's replacement. So don't see how it impacted AJ's credibility.

Pulev fight would be just okay.
If Whyte is smart he should wait on Wilder. He have zero chance against AJ.

I suspect it will be Pulev as Uysk is currently injured and we don't know how long his rehab will be and he'll still want a fight at heavyweight first before facing Joshua and Whyte I doubt has changed his view on what he thinks he's worth and Hearn likely won't pay much more than he has already offered.

I can't say the Pulev fight excites me, he literally has nothing to hurt Joshua with, it's just a bed style match up for Pulev. If 2019 sees Joshua beat Ruiz then Pulev then that's a pretty disappointing year to say the least.

    Yeh, I agree.

And it makes the IBF landscape more interesting as others vie to take over that #1 spot should Pulev be taken out fo the equation.

People still underrating Pulev? Comfortable wins over H. Fury and Chisora.

It's not that Pulev is terrible he's clearly a top 10 fighter, I rate him over Ruiz Jr, but style wise he simply has no weapons to hurt Joshua with.
