Kudos to Hearn for being honest. If Froch didn't come to US to fight Ward the first time, I'd tell him to take a hike. But now its time Ward repaid the debt and traveled. He had it cushy the entire super six, get out of that comfort zone!

    two words. BRITISH STOPPAGE.

Vile, disgusting practice that all brits should Abhor, but since it usually benefits their fighters, its forgiven.

Carl Froch can dictate the terms all he likes, because if Andre Ward walks away from the negotiations, that just means Carl Froch was saved from another loss.

I'm annoyed with Wards attitude, so I don't mind to see him in a situationen were he has to play according to someone elses rules, or lose his belt and become even more irrelevant.

But if he goes over to Nottingham and fights Froch, I'm confident Ward will win. Froch is too old and too slow at this stage of his career. Period.

Carl did fight in America, so maybe not Nottingham but in the UK. That way they will have both given up being the home country fighter to the other

If this fight were to go to a purse bid, what would be the split?

I don't think so seeing as this is a mandatory. The WBA would determine the split if this fight goes to bid...

Ward is the Champion in the WBA and Froch is his mandatory. Normally, when a fight goes to purse bid, the split is something like 75-25 or 60-40 in the champion's favor...

Screw the bull****. Just do purse bids. I can't see how a boxing fan can care who gets what share of the money, what difference does it make to you guys watching?

    Ward beats Froch easily anywhere.

It may not bother the fans but it would bother Froch and Hearn to just give Ward such a huge payday. Froch has spent his entire career facing all comers to get to the point where he can generate this much money to just give it away to an opponent would be galling.
