The difference though is that Froch can make a similar payday or more against other opponents. Ward can't, most he's made is $2 million and he was over paid for that, he's going to struggle to make a million in the US against anyone else.

They will want to get the majority of the money since theyre used to that and Froch isnt overly keen to fight Ward. Ward who will be the favourite has **** all options and fans and could make a real name for himself taking and winning the fight. He should take that fight, his career is nearly ****ing over and he has a chance of a big fight that will get him back on top as a favourite staying in his own diviiosn

But that's their choice to make, the money may not be that important to Ward. If money was all important to him he probably wouldn't have fought so infrequently and spent money fighting legal battles. The belt may not be important to Froch at this point in his career.
It's up to Froch and Ward to decide if they want to vacate their belts, if they want to travel, accept a certain %, go to purse bids etc.

Can't really say his career is nearly over. He's still quite young, skilled, undefeated and recently signed with a new promoter. There's still plenty of time for him to do a lot in his career.

Dodgy promoters group there nearly blackballed at this stage, he pretty much has Kesller or Froch to chose between no Haymon fighter will go near him. Doubt anyones ****d seeing him take on 3rd tier fighters

I'd be very surprised if Ward gave up his title instead of fighting Froch. You never know though maybe he is that afraid to fight in Froch's back yard.

If someone wants to be truly considered #1 in the division they have to beat Ward so I think there will be guys willing to fight him. I don't necessarily believe the boxing world is conspiring against Ward and Roc Nation. Seems a bit far fetched to me but we'll see. If that is the case though, one fight against Froch isn't going to change that.

Naw its just that he had all the promotion trouble and you arnt getting that mch for fighting him. Haymon wont work with Jay Z and he def wont gift Ward his first fight, if he stops Jay Z getting a show for Ward there ****ed he'll be mad for that. The dirrells wont fight him, and then theres not a whole lot left of really worthy kessler and frohc are the way to go for andre

    1. Eddie is right
    2. He knows that this would never in a million years be accepted by Ward
    3. Eddie doesn't want the fight and neither does Froch
    4. It won't happen
    5. Nobody will care

Froch has come right out and said it.

Paraphrasing, but it was something like:

"You don't feel like you can even hit him, it's incredibly frustrating because you know you're losing but you don't even feel like you've been in a fight. I can't get excited for that type of fight and it's not a fight people are excited about watching. Plus it's already happened and there's no reason to expect it would be different."

Bottom line is if Froch is getting back in the ring with Ward it's because of huge money being involved, and there won't be that type of money. He'd be better off fighting Degale, Kessler, or Groves in Nottingham. Winnable fight, exciting fight, and a lot more money.

They're putting these demands out there because while they're totally reasonable, they know Ward won't accept them. Then they can move on and say Ward had a chance and ducked it, which will actually be true.

Ward is in a totally powerless spot right now. He's lost all his bargaining chips, nobody wants to fight him, and he's unwilling to make any concessions to get someone in the ring.

I hadn't thought of it like that, but you maybe be right.

Nothing Ward has done of late or said suggests he has changed his opinion in regards to travelling or his general view of what he deserves. He may once again sabotage his career and pull out as he doesn't get everything his way and Froch and Hearn know this and look to take advantage of this.

I hope Ward can for once make the right career choice and make the concessions he needs to, to secure this fight.
