amiir Khan is a shot fighter, sure. But nowhere near the levels of shot Kell Brook is now at.

Brooks got a 1 2 that can put anyone in there place. He’ll be up on the cards before the cut kills him. Flag this statement

    You didn't remember,
    You somehow forgot,
    That Kell is a boxer,
    Whose utterly shot,

    He's likely to show up,
    In something of a state,
Cause no way should he fight,
    At this bloody weight,

And we know it's a cash out,
    Cause we're not ****ing dumb,
So please spare us the wittering,
    From Top Rank's Bob Arum,

    If you're paying for this,
    I hope it goes well,
    And I wish only good,
    For Sheffield's own Kell,

But I'm choosing to swerve it,
I don't think that its good,
    To watch him get leathered,
    By a yankee called Bud,

Out of all the stupid things he said in that very camp manner he has, I think my favourite was when he tried to make out he did Hearn a favour by taking the Golovkin fight! Though to be fair to him he managed to keep a straight face while saying it so I’ll give him that.

Look at what Froch earned before and then after he joined Matchroom. I get people not liking Hearn the man but to pretend he doesn't bring in big money for his name fighters simply isn't true. He's not being continually sued over money like Warren and co. is he?

Eh Day makes non elite fighters such as Whyte, Bellew and Brook multi millionaires with his world class selling skills - he also got Brook the big fights he craved and it was Brook who wanted the GGG fight.

One thing Eh Day Hearn cannot be accused of is letting Brook down - he had elite potential after the Porter fight, took the GGG fight for the huge bag of PPV loot and his career potential was significantly reduced after that fight. Good effort against Spence but fell short against another elite fighter.

Eh Day has delivered very well for Brook in and out of the ring as he did for Bellew.

Shot to **** Ricky Burns had a number of big paydays under him too. And look what he did with Crolla... Sign me up to get 'let down as a fighter' by *Frank Warren voice* Ed-eee Hearnz.

I wouldn't agree Kell was not elite he went to the US and beat Porter (pretty handily I thought), at that point I would have definitely put Kell as an elite level fighter probably our best at that point in time. But it was 6 years ago and he didn't make the right career choices after the fight. Maybe Eddie was in his ear saying I will definitely get you Khan ect ect.
He should have stayed fighting in America and signed with Al.
But i agree Eddie paints average British guys as world beaters and the casuals lap it up all day long.

Kell has wasted his career and could maybe have gone down as an atg for Britain. He did get stabbed which is far from ideal, and the GGG fight was daft at the time never mind in hindsight. Don't know where the blame lies really, I can't imagine Hearn having elite level talent and not leveraging it. Maybe it was just circumstance, maybe it was spending too long chasing Khan instead of building his own star when he had an amazing opportunity to do so. Porter should've been the beginning of something great, there were great fights to be made at his weight and he could've beaten the lot of them if he can beat that guy. He never needed Khan.

Strange one really, we had what looks like a genuine quality fighter from our shores and his career just fizzled out to nothing.

This reminds me of when Wilder said that Joshua was being 'milked' by Hearn and Ishe Smith said if being paid $20m a fight was getting milked then sign him up to get milked!

Depends how you look at it.

Very well given he’s had his fair share of PPV headlines. Very badly given one of them trucked his career.

I don’t know if it’s Brook or Hearn that has been obsessing with the Khan fight. Whichever one it is is the one that’s wasted some of his career.

The win over Porter, highlights the potential Brook always had and ranks as one of the best win's abroad by a British boxer.

The fact it took 32 fights and 10 years for Brook to actually fight for a world title is the real travesty of his career.

Hearn actually allowed Brook to fulfill some of his potential and enabled him to become financially secure.

Brook was elite, bellew an Whyte were never genuine world beaters, Brook was arguably the best welter in the world before the GGG fight

I did say he had elite potential after the Porter win, but sadly his career took a wrong turn and he never proved he was an elite fighter in the ring.

He was unbeaten, a-world champion, at welter he was elite, unless your talking p4p top 10 department, but as far as 147 goes, he really was the goods
