Nowhere near as big as it once would've been but the Sky machine will still ensure it does good numbers. Brook knocks him out
I wouldn't pay £2 for this if it happens but not just for the fact that both guys are shot and it's 5 years too late but because firstly I wouldn't trust either Kell or A Mere Con to have a proper training camp (no sparring probably to cut costs and to avoid getting KO'ed in the buildup LOL) However the main reason I wouldn't pay is because it's a very real possibility that Con or to a lesser extent Brook may take a dive, fake an injury or have their corner throw in the towel mid fight if things are going against them to avoid being stopped legitimately by their hated rival and to avoid taking unnecessary punishment (Con did this against Crawford). After all once it's fight night the mugs will have paid their £25 and Eddie's fleet of lorries will have collected the sacks of loot deposited by the Sweet Charlie Line Brigade so by that point it's job done, why take a risk and have a proper fight ??
They’re both utterly shot to bits and I wouldn’t pay an extra 50p for it, nor would it tempt me to buy a PPV as an undercard fight. If it’s a non-PPV then I’ll watch if I have nothing else to do. There’s bad PPV’s and then there are bad PPV’s that take the **** out of fans, this would definitely be the latter.
The hardcore fans or proper boxing fans know it’s a bit of a **** take for it to be a PPV fight after all these years , but this will still do very good numbers with the matchroom bandwagon and casuals . No way this is on any undercard this will be sold as personal with the focus being on the hate these two have for each other to take away the focus that in reality there both Shot to pieces and will never get near to where they once were in there careers , this will be lapped up by the masses of matchroom fan boys . my guess would be over 500k easily.
Even some skeptics will be taken in after the first press conference and a tense staredown followed by soundbites : Kell : "He's been running for years but it's time I detonated some chocolate brownies on those fragile whiskers, you've got nowhere to run now Amir" Amir : "Kell should be thanking me for giving him this opportunity, I know Kell's shot to bits, Kell knows he's shot to bits, it's going to be an easy night's work" Eddie : "This is a showdown that's been in the making for years now, real grudge matches like this don't come along too often, fans are in for a treat once the first bell rings." Of course it's all pantomime nonsense, fake propaganda and hype but it will sell decent numbers.
Can we get some sort of online movement to start boycotting fights which are blatantly at least 5 years too late, beginning with this one?
Haha what a joke Just about a month ago on a Q&A live stream someone asked Hearn is the Brook-Khan fight dead? And he replied ''yeah I think it is''
Unfortunately this will still sell decently Of course id watch it but i genuinely dont care for it as i did in say 2017
Both fighters are shot, but still names Last Hurrah for both Nothing to lose, make it happen Not the mega fight it would have been 7 years ago, but still worth a watch I say double down and make it bare knuckle
He won’t have one because it’s a bs story. He invested £5m in a wedding venue and retail space which had some issues, but to say he’s lost £10m is garbage.
