Hearn says he doesn't understand peoples concerns about Eubank safety (rehydration clause)

Benn cuts about at 165 between fights I bet, Eubanks always in and around 165.

Eubank beats him because he’s much better not because he’s bigger.

 

He’s Benn’s promoter and he is notorious for lying and talking **** when it suits him. Who cares what Hearn think.

Eubank will easily beat Benn anyway IMO.

 

He just wants the fight on to take the money.

 

I think Connor is in more danger which is kinda the point people have made about the weight. Having a much bigger guy punch you in the head often doesn't end well. GGG V Brook, or even more disturbingly Gatti V Gamache.

But if Eubank was to loose he wouldn't be the first fighter to drain down to a weight and loose cause the body had nothing in it. I always think of Chad Dawson draining down to face Ward and getting well beaten.

Both are at risk. Weight and size wise it's a silly fight to make and both are only taking it cause it's a nice earner while they avoid legit challenges in there respective divisions.

Weight classes exist for a reason and Hearn can F off with this one.

 

rehydration clauses defeat the purpose of the day before weigh in.
the whole safety point of weighing in the day before was so they could be hydrated for the fight.
of course it caused as many problems as it solve, mainly the guys who manipulate weight so well they end up facing smaller men by far. but rehydration clause weigh in is ridiculous attempt to counter that.
very dangerous stuff.

 

it would be better to just let them weigh whatever they want. as big as they can get. it's stupid to try turn a probable ordinary mismatch into a prolonged death trap on both sides.
a strong version of each probably results in a blow out win for the bigger man.
a weakened larger man potentially endangers both of them more.

 

The rehydration is the **** take. Make him get to 157 that will do the trick. The 162 is lunacy

 

Exactly he doesn't care about Eubank's wellbeing.

 

He’d asking Conor benn to fight a man with higher natural weight and bone density etc but to level things up he will have less fluid round his brain to absorb shots. Disgraceful really

 

Chris needs to just **** them off and rehydrate lol.

 

I find it weirder that Eubank is back to training himself for this fight. His dad won’t be in his corner either, so who will?

I'd love Jnr to not care, screw it all, weigh in what he wants, even if it means he gets a £0 purse (I'm sure he'll have pulled in enough money from elsewhwere to be comfortable from this fight) and just absolutely batter Benn right from the off, 2017 Jnr, closing the fight within 4 rounds, blood everywhere. That would probably put a stop to this kind of nonsense in the future.

 

Would be pretty damaging to his career.
