Potentially, the fight may never happen.

Since Joshua last fought, Wilder has agreed 4 fights against different opponents. With Shelly Finkel saying they won't even consider fighting AJ until 2020 at the earliest, he could easily agree another 2 or 3 fights by then.

I think either one (probably Wilder) loses before the fight happens.

Why aren't they making the same noises about Fury?

Wilder and Finkel are just doing what Hearn and AJ have done for the past few years. They were so brazen that Barry Hearn even started going rogue and admitting it, "the plahhhn".

Then Fury came out of retirement unexpectedly and shuffled around the whole dynamic and now it's AJ who needs to build his rep up stateside, via Wilder. At least in terms of the PR of wanting to fight Wilder. Whether it's genuine is dubious.

Not so much fun when the shoe's on the other foot, is it. When this was happening to Wilder "he wasn't good enough", "he needs to prove himself" "he needs to accept 5% of the purse" "the plahhhn is good business" etc etc.

Funny how all that's changed now. And that's even assuming that they are actually genuine about wanting the fight, which is being rather naive it has to be said.

That's the issue with power plays and dynamics, they change, and sometimes rather quickly as in this case.

    Once again:

    Price/Browne/Allen >>>>>> Joshua/Wilder/Fury

    - 3 proper gents vs. 3 proper POSs
    - 3 absolute warriors vs. 3 money-driven businessmen
    - non-PPVs vs. PPVs
    - often in competitive fights vs. often in mismatches
    - big drama shows in the ring vs. big drama shows outside the ring
    - fights get made easily vs. lots of ducking and bull****

In 2021 Deontay will take care of AJ and Marsellos will take out Usyk.
    Book it.

wilder career highs are 2 mil v Ortiz and 14 mil v Fury

he got offered a 100mil deal with DAZN that included 2 fights with AJ and he turned it down and still you are wondering if hearn is serious?

how dumb are wilder fans? they will try an convince themselves wilder is not the problem hahha joke

I have no interest in numbers whatsoever in regards to what boxers are paid. FYI, Hearn earnestly, deeply and emotionally telling all his loving fans that he is serious is a very different thing to him actually being serious.

Anyone can throw out arbitrary figures or nebulous offers all they want, when it came to the crunch there were lost pens, unreturned emails and a bucket load of excuses coming from Brentwood. Some of us don't have short memories.

Yeah I distinctly remember Wilder saying he lost his pen and it don't have no ink in it . Finkel , Haymon and co were the ones not returning calls or talking , it's been Hearn and Matchroom trying to make the fight happen .
