Who cares? Eventually Wilder will have to fight a young, hungry contender whether that's AJ or someone else. And he'll get exposed badly. They can't protect him for much longer. They can only use the '500 mandatory invincible unbreakable wall' tactic a few more times at most. Eventually Whyte/Parker winner, Joe Joyce, Hughie Fury, whoever it might be, they will come and Wilder will have to fight them. In other words, Joshua doesn't care. The WBC belt will be in his hands at some point in the future, whether that is against Wilder or not. He couldn't care less when it comes, because he's getting all the money he needs, he's got belts, he is in control.
Wilders almost 33 he is heading towards a phase where he will start losing some speed, also the injuries he has will take their toll. He is taking a risk by not fighting now regardless of the money
Parker is not scared to fight AJ, Sasha is not scared to fight AJ, Wilder is scared to fight AJ for 15 million because he does not like taking chances. Fact. All Wilder has to do is take the 15 million and beat AJ and then Wilder will be the one controlling the lions share. He refused and asked for 50/50 instead because he fears he will loose. No fooling he could loose but he could also win with the great power and hand speed he has, regardless fearing he could loose shouldnt stop him from trying.
Does he have an option or agreement with Joseph Parker then? Because if Parker beats Whyte it would reduce the attractiveness of Joshua Whyte 2. Saying that, AJ Parker 2 would take some selling so soon after the less than thrilling previous one. If Whyte lost he'd be better off bring in Jarrell Miller.
There is near enough 7 months until the April 13th Joshua fight. Plenty of time for both sides to grow up and sort something.
Yeah Joshua/Parker 2 so soon after the last fight which was so one sided would be a hard sell indeed. I can't see it happening next if Parker were to win. More likely Parker tries to go the WBC route as he'd in WBC interim champion and take Whyte's number 1 ranking. Then if Parker beats Wilder he'd happily take the $15 mill to unify I'm sure.
That's a good point. I half wondered if Whyte was losing his position with the WBC due to not taking up their direction to face Ortiz but if that's not the case Parker would have a good pathway to pursue.
Wilder is claiming that Joshua is afraid of him, yet all he has to do to get him into the ring is to sign the contract... Yes, it's not a fair contract, but life is not fair anyway. Time is on Joshua's side.
I'm so frightfully bored of this saga, It's driving me round the twist, If Eddie and Shirley don't set a date, The entire boxing world will be pissed, At this point I don't give a monkeys, If Joshua v Wilder transpires, Just as long as the threads stop occurring, And the trolling from dickheads and liars,
If I had a tail, I'd love to regale, My admirers with news of it's wagging, T'would be my greatest wish, To give it a swish, As I leave all my rivals lagging, But's it's a sad fact, That a tail I do lack, It's an absence I rue with such fervour, So instead in my sock, I just insert my ****, And swing it at random observers
Screw Wilder. Nobody has been able to tell me why 15 Million is such a bad offer for him. Nobody has been able to convince me that a guy that cant fill out small venues and gets an average of 2 million a fight is all of a suden going to add something like 50+ million to this fight. They are basing that on what? He should demand a percentage split and he can argue the rematch clauses if he feels but its quite common practice for the A side to demand a rematch for him but only him and he really needs to get that 50-50 crap out of his head. On facts and figures the gap between the A side and the B side is massive.
One thing clear, the 50 million BS has really stuck with some fans who are desperate to believe that was realistic. Wilder might not make 15 mill for the rest of his career FFS...
