AJ and Whyte are rivals, why should Joshua give an option on his next fight in order to secure Whyte a fight with Wilder? What's in it for him?

It's more the fact that Wilder was gunning for the AJ fight, the fight ALL fans desperately want to see, but Hearn was throwing in Whyte as a block. Wilder agreed as long as he was guaranteed to fight AJ afterwards. Hearn denied.

If AJ was so keen for the fight that all fans want, he would have told Hearn to make it and to forget about Whyte. He clearly doesn't fancy it - or at least his team don't.

So why can’t he fight more than twice a year? I know he trains like a spartan for his fights so has long training camps but for a guy in his fighting prime, he should be able to take less than 6 months off between fights and fight at least 3 times a year? It can’t be that he needs months of promotion for his fights since we are told that he is so popular in the U.K. that he can sell out fights in U.K. stadiums with hardly any notice so what’s the reason?

You cant sell out an open air staduim in the middle of an English winter, thus fight in the spring and fall. Bit much to squeeze in summer as well.

Yes so my question is why would AJ agree to fight Wilder as long as Wilder fought Whyte? Why does AJ care who Whyte fights? What's in it for him?

It probably will be Whyte fighting Joshua next, but if Wilder accepts an offer from Hearn, and then beats Fury, Whyte will have to wait.

Most likely though, Wilder will beat Fury twice, and then fight Breazeale in late 2019. Joshua will fight Whyte then the Pulev/Fury winner in late 2019. And we will all still be repeating the same arguments again and again.

Hearn won't compromise his negotiating position by going in with Wembley booked and no other option. Every day the pressure would build.

I know Wilder has a rematch clause, I am not sure about fury. If fury gets destroyed violently I can't see there being a rematch.

Joshua slipped out of his tongue that Wilder fight would happen late in 19 or 20 a year ago or two. So there is that.

I think Joshua is more solid than Wilder. Maybe Hearn is leery of Wilder and his power, and figures someone will knock him out soon enough. Wilder's chin is not great. He is great offense but not great defensively at all and that will be the problem for him his whole career.

I just don't get why they aren't more positive about trying to get the Wilder fight made. I thought Smith would have come on said they definitely want Wilder next but he barely mentioned his name.
