Hearn seems to care more about Devin Haney than Luke Campbell?

He's spoke very highly of his new signing, yet he's had Campbell for about 6 years.

Says that he wants the Haney vs Campbell fight to take place in the USA. Surely it should happen in the UK!I I've not seen Haney, but I've heard he's good, so if it's gonna be a tough fight Campbell should get home advantage.

Campbell is ranked number 1 by the WBC, Zaur Abdullaev is 2, Haney is 3. Abdullaev is a very good young prospect himself, but 'supposedly' Haney is the real deal and a tougher fight and Hearn doesn't want Campbell vs Abdullaev in the UK, he's pushing for Campbell vs Haney in the USA.

Hearns Dazn deal has not been good to British fighters in some ways.

Campbell is coming up for 32. Haney is 20 or 21. Campbell has a handful of potential big fights left in his career. Haney could have 11,12 years or so to be in big, money making fights. When you compare the earning potential of both fighters, it's not hard to see why Hearn would value Haney more than Campbell.

Hearn is always saying that there is more money in America for the fighters. It could even be Campbell saying that he wants to fight in the USA to try and get a following before picking up even more potential big money offers from across the pond. If someone asked me if I wanted to fight in the UK for £2m or in America for £4m then it’s a no brainer.

Ones got the American market, Ones the uk market. Hearns priority is to be the first UK promoter to break america that's his number one goal, always has been.

Any promoter would want their fighter Campbell to have home advantage but saying that he just doesn’t have a following. It’s a shame because he is one of our best boxers.

Also add in that DAZN comes first for Hearn it’s no shock. DAZN is brilliant if you’re American (fan) but it’s ruining British boxing.

Haney was one of the most sought after fighters in the sport. Its no surprise Hearn is looking at him as a future star of boxing.

Still Campbell can upset the apple cart.

I think it works for everyone.

Campbell gets more money than he would otherwise. He has a shot at a title, if he beats Haney a much improved profile and if he loses, we'll he was brave to fight overseas and there's still chance of some big sky sports evenings to close out his career.

Haney has a title shot backed by DAZN. If he loses, it's to an Olympian and former title holder, much more experienced, so back to drawing board but not a terminal loss.

Hearn keeps everything in house and a close contest could allow him to do it all over again.

    Win, win, win

    Agree with scissors here
DAZN is slowly ruining UK boxing
I hope that the day they focus on the UK this will change as i believe in their plan and will sign up but obviously they need some football before even considering it

I mean dear god we are looking at Allen vs Price as a big fight these days

Campbell has no following of note so Hearn cant lose regardless of the result here
Fingers crossed Luke has enough to lift that World title before he retires
Will be hard to get a winnable 3rd crack

He seemed like he was shifting tickets a few years back in Hull, they should have kept those Hull shows going.

And I fully agree with your second paragraph, Hearns UK shows have gone massively downhill since the DAZN deal, and getting home advantage is a big thing in world title shots in boxing and most the shots his fighters get now are mostly in the USA.

I'd love for Campbell to derail Hearns plans for Haney, I was surprised that he was up for making this fight given how Campbell has rebuilt himself since first tasting defeat, the Linares fight didn't feel like a loss either, in my opinion.

    This.

There is no care for anyone apart from his business. Same for all promoters.

If they put it on in Hull and hyped the hype they know how to do it’d sell the KR stadium out again. Even with only one Hull man, it’s a proud city and would definitely turn out for that. Could even do the KC stadium just open the lower tiers first and see how the sales go before opening anything else.

As you say, it’s DAZN’s fault.
