Yes not signing highly coveted Kownacki is the final nail in the coffin!
Hearn is done as a promoter

Hearn's new deal is refreshing, when PBC first came out it was a breath of fresh air.

PBC is lacking in areas Matchroom/Hearn are excelling in.

    Hearn/Matchroom P4P>>>PBC/Haymon.
Hearn knows how to put on a show and have a crowd buzzing. PBC shows are usually flat, the crowd's atmosphere seems everyone got free tickets. Even the corny "sweet Caroline" has grown on me

Typical Brit sitting on his parochial little island looking at the world through the wrong end of the telescope.

When Latvia beat US in beach volleyball, for the next few hours top search on google was “where is Latvia”.
Typical American doesn’t know what a telescope is, let alone where to look for that island or any other country.

Well, Kownacki/his team said that he is loyal to the PBC.
Hearn did sign Khan and Jacobs, both of whom were with Al and PBC. (Not that Jacobs or Khan are guaranteed to fight on DAZN.)

Broner and Kownacki were being touted just to bulk out the stable.

bigger things will come. If needs be hearn will use joshua as a tool to get more fighters in.

    no problem

Bit premature to be ringing the death knell for this project mate, think this story has a long way to go before we'll know if it's sustainable or not.

Hearn is trying to break into a mature market. He has a lot of cards to fill and he needs to address a lot of different types of boxing fan. So presumably a mixture of weights, styles and also different ethnic and cultural background. He'll want Latino, African American and, yes, maybe the Polish American fight fans to subscribe as well.

It will be tough to begin with, however much money he's playing with. Existing networks are going to be very aggressive in seeking to keep hold of what they have. Espinonza's pushback today is one sign of that. Established fighters will be wary of moving to a new platform without much of a subscriber base. Hearn has some decent fighters in his own stable who may be able to help fill in gaps at first but I think where it will get very interesting is in the signing of up and coming talent. If he can make DAZN the place where the hungry young fighters are doing their thing and the quality of fights are there he'll begin to draw a boxing fanbase he can work with.

It could be, but only partial, I guess, because it's not Hearn's plan — he has ambitious time limits and he wants to disrupt the (boxing) industry. So he needs big names. And he needs them soon. :)

He is not a constrcton worker, he is studying business at college. Nevertheless, he will never ever make that kind of money, he should have taken that offer.

IMO america can no longer be broke

and that includes american promoters as well

i think it is a race /tv/ money issue
america for whatever reason does not produce white fighters / that has got to hurt fanbase

boxing needs to get on free to air tv somehow to get more mainstream and a bigger fanbase / problem in the uk as well

money i read on a banking article yesterday that 40% of adult americans have only 400 dollars as a fall back emergency option and with boxing charging 60 to 100 dollars a fight it is no longer a viable option for poor and lower income working class.

in the uk they tried parker v fury on ppv you tube and got 10k viewers for a heavyweight world title fight

in fury`s next fight on free to air albeit channel 5 a little watched channel v sexton in a british title fight he got 3 million viewers .

somehow promoters in the usa and uk need to get free to air boxing on get mass audience watching and charge just for mega fights

not going to happen i know but ppv has turned boxing from a mainstream usa sport to a very niche market

hearn will not and cannot break it there
