He's presumably a millionaire 50 times over or more. Why not have some dignity and retire rather than going down the carnival route?

To come out with all that guff about respecting the sport and creating a legacy only to wind up shot in a ring with Jake feckin Paul is something one could forgive if he was broke and trying to provide for his folks, but to have all that money and still chase every last disreputable dime is disgraceful. Either find a decent opponent AJ or turn if in ffs.

 

Would be surprised if this fight does not happen as Hearn needs to earn.

Should Joshua come through this '50/50 test', he is back and ready to step up and fight Danny Williams.

These righteous posts make me laugh. Why turn down huge money to face Paul, just to appease some so-called purists? Nobody is forced to watch. He’d be absolutely bonkers to turn it down on that basis.

 

I get what you're saying but Eddie has turned his nose up at so many of these so called influencer fights in recent years despite him doing the first one years ago, that for him to do an influencer fight now with AJ, is typical of the hypocrisy of Hearn.

 

Jake Paul would never go near Joshua come on lads. It's the oldest trick in the book, mentioning a fighter that would wipe the floor with them to generate attention around the "heel" (see Eubank Jr calling GGG out back in the day for another example)

Sure, except I never stated he should turn it down to appease some boxing purists? He can of course do what he likes as can those who may waznt to watch it. I can also do what I want which is to express the opinion that I'd hope he makes another choice. Isn't freedom great!

 

At the end of the day, the decision isn't Hearns to make. If its what AJ wants then Hearn will go along for the ride. AJ decides what he wants to do and then Eddie will do his job and promote.

 

I hate it when Hearn uses the term ‘we’. He’s using it more and more. This week he was talking about Taylor’s tactics and he said he wants her to box, but if ‘we have to go to war’. I tink it’s really disrespectful when it’s the fighters going in there taking the shots whilst he’s sat in his comfy ringside seat.

 

Hearns cash cows for the last decade or so has been Taylor and Joshua he is squeezing what he can out of them

 

Hearn is a tosser. I can see why no one likes him but have to put up with him because he can make them money.

 

I think the fact that you watch women's boxing is more worrying.
