I think it's bizarre that you hope he will make another choice. It shouldn't make any difference to you. If he chooses to get in with Paul then just don't watch. If it's on the table, he should take it, and enjoy all of that lovely money.
I like boxing but dislike bollocks disguised as it. On the first page of the British forum as I wrote this there's shot old Ricky Hatton and shot old James degale comeback threads along with dave Allen 'finally taking it seriously' and one live discussion on an actual decent match up with sheeraz and berlanga. Then there's this rubbish with Joshua and Paul. Of course I won't watch it and if course I'll try to ignore it, but reality is that it will dominate discussion here and elsewhere and fuel the further descent of the ad port into an add on for YouTube influences to make a quick buck from shot fighters and gullible punters. You still don't understand the point I made in the first post as to why he should not take the fight BTW. Its not to stop annoying me or so called boxing g purists, it's because he's made several fortunes as already and with good advice can make more still without joining the clown show and capering about for another pay check. It's easy money, but it's still a dumb move o. His part from my perspective.
I don't mind these novelty fights, per se. I don't tend to watch them, but if a fighter can earn some decent money doing it, more power to them. What I do mind, however, is when it gets in the way of a proper fight. Most top fighters today (and even mid level fighters, these days) fight once a year, twice at best. I don't want one of these fights being taken up by a Mickey Mouse fight. If a fighter fights 3-4 times a year, then fair enough. Waste one of those fights earning millions fighting a YouTuber or an MMA fighter. But, taking 6-12 months out of your career for one of these fights is a joke. Fury making us wait even longer for the Usyk fight so as he could make a twat of himself fighting an MMA fighter was beyond a pisstake.
I hope Eddie Hearn took notes Friday night I spoke earlier with a media colleague who was ringside for MVP's female card Friday night (and was there for the entire fight week) and he told me that MVP / Jake Paul did an outstanding job all week. There was a real "big fight feeling" on fight night.
Has he though? I just think these influencers realised they didn't need him at all. He didn't bring anything to the show other than taking his slice.
JACK Paul: shot to pieces : NO old : NO name fighter : YES AND NO doesn’t tick enough boxes for AJ to ROLL THE DICE
The old name for these guys is prize fighters. As far as I am concerned they can fight who they want. I might not like it, probably won't watch it; I haven't seen any of the 'influencer' fights, not through boxing elitism or anything, I just have no 'connection' with these guys. If someone is paying the purses, let them fight, why not...?
No if you diss AJ it means you love Fury and vice versa. It did actually used to be like that to a large degree about 4-8 years ago.
