Hearns & Warren both greedy self obsessed and self loving rats imo. Boxing desperately needs someone to put both of them in trouble with their tv deals.
Chris Eubank and his ITV box office deal could be the man to shake it up, especially if he emerges victorious in this tournament. ITV need more FTA shows though.
Too many Hearn fighters hyped up for pay per view - huge fights like Joshua Vs Kiltschco maybe, but putting the likes of Frampton Vs Quigg PPV is mugging off the fans
That’s down to the fighters as much as Hearn and Warren. They want paying x amount and won’t fight unless they get their amounts. Chisora Whyte being the prime example. Highly anticipated rematch fizzled out because they wanted PPV and wouldn’t expect the normal fight night wages.
I don't mind the fighters getting a fair cut for putting themselves on the line - but can't help but feel that PPV is mainly hyped up to make money for Hearn and sky - and with no consideration for the punter and the progression on the sport. Look how sky's ruined cricket viewing figures!
Putting the PPV stuff to one side for a minute, Hearn needs to concerntrate on getting back to basics with good Solid Saturday fight nights- the standard in the last 18 months or so has fallen down quicker then Jordan’s knickers. Franks cards have been spanking him left right and centre.
I’d say they’ve both been poor to be honest. Linares - Crolla Petrov - Flanagan saved by the Liam fight Burns - Indongo Murray - Rosado Yafai Warrington - Martinez card Davis - Walsh Burnett Haskins Buglioni summers Skeete Evans Saunders Monroe Linares Campbell Butler hall Crolla Burns Catterall nurse Burnett Zhakiyanov Smith Williams Frampton Garcia Hardly been spoiled by Warren or Hearn this year. Both need to improve.
BT need a sports news channel. The amount of casual boxing fans sky sports news attracts because of their news channel is huge. Get on it Frank
Showtime are showing this Card in the US on their digital Platforms.Frank needs that, good exposure for Yarde,Dubois but to be honest why did Showtime waste money on it when i doubt more than 20 thousand people will be even watching
I don't get all this hatred for Hearn. He is a 'promoter' so it's his job to hype his fighters up and get them the best pay day. To do that he has to put on PPVs and that brings over the best fighters in the world. The cost is £19.99 which gets you about 7 hours of boxing which I think is excellent value compared to the ridiculous prices the US pay. If you combine this to the excellent atmosphere he creates from his events then he has brought boxing back to the big time in the UK.
