It will likely be vs. Eric 'Drummer Boy' Molina who holds the IBF Inter-Continental Heavyweight Title.

Looks like AJ's title run will resemble Kell Brooks' in the near future

    Great job Hearn

Does that matter when they both carry titles though?

Joshua is an IBF champion. He can't fight a voluntary on November. IBF is not WBC. He will be stripped.

I mean, they're at different points in their careers. That matters. Joshua still has developing to do, Brook is more or less complete.

AJ is going to get his development whether you like it or not I can only respect a boxer's management team that does not listen to full of **** hardcore boxing fans.

Is he really that less polished than Parker?

My response to this depends upon who he plans to fight for this voluntary. If it's Molina or Ruiz Jr then I won't be happy, Joshua is better than that. While I get Hearn wants to build Joshua as a fighter in the states for an eventual showdown with Wilder, Joshua needs to step up and face someone decent.

Now if Joshua fights a good fighter like unifying with Wilder, or a top contender like Pulev then I think that's acceptable as I personally think Parker needs more experience and time to mature.

But I suspect the former is the direction Hearn wants to go and if that's the case then Joshua and Hearn deserve all the criticism that comes their way.

No. But both have a lot to work on so they can make this an even better fight. I'd rather have two prime heavyweights fight than 2 green ones.

I can see the logic in that, though I agree with Brightons take overall.

From our perspective, I still don't like how rare it is that two up and coming heavy weights fight each other on the way up.
