They put their videos up pretty quick so we should be able to see exactly what fast Eddie said. Would also like to see if they upped the money. Maybe 1st refusal on Joshua when he next has a free choice. If it's all legit wilder really needs to take this fight even if it's for the same money. It's a good venue Eddie will sell it well and wilder can make a massive statement as well as getting the microphone after the fight. His words to a UK crowd could really put pressure on AJ to take the challenge, especially if the win is an impressive one. Unless there is something devious in the contract we don't know about or his teams just chicken I really see how this is nothing but win win for wilder if he believes he smashes whyte.
I agree. One of Wilder's counter arguments to not taking the Whyte fight is that "the Whyte fight doesnt do anything for his legacy" which is ridiculous to say because what's fighting Washington, Areola, etc. and Dominic Brazeale most likely next... doing for his legacy?
Exactly. I know he said why should he fight Joshua left overs which I thought was dumb. It's always been good to despatch somebody better than a direct opponent did. Gets people talking. Really helps stoke the fire in a rivalry.
Wilder will find the wildest excuses in order to avoid that fight. Which ironically would net him his career highest payday!!!
