Hearn will be meeting with Povetkin's team for possible Joshua/Povetkin fight?

Didn't see that coming.
That must be the hardest fight possible for Joshua right now, and he would have been able to avoid him for years if he wants to.
Parker was the guy that needed to worry for Povetkin, as he's going the WBO route now.

 

Could be an attempt at get some good media... but either way good look and apparently the WBA could be forcing it soon anyway

 

Yup, that was the first thing that was on my mind. For sure Povetkin is a horrible match up for Joshua right now.

 

Povetkin is 38 years old and hasn't beat anyone good for a few years.
I don't think it's a huge risk.

You don't have to be a hater for that. I like Joshi and I would advise him not to.

Probably passing some tips to Povetkin on how to pass drug tests in exchange for not pushing for a Joshua fight just yet.

 

Guys this fight is VERY POSSIBLE. Povetkin's promoter/manager Andre Ryabinsky is a Billionaire businessman, and he can offer Joshua HUGE money.. like they did to WIlder to get him to come over to Russia.

 

If thats true then why Parker asked for 4 mil to fight Povetkin in Russia and deal was not reached ?

 

I assume hearn is trying to cut off options for Parker for a good payday. If parker looks to fight povetkin as he seems to want to then he's showing Parker he could take that fight from him leaving unification Parker's only real option. So I think it's a power play to force Joshua v Parker.

 

Just read somewhere that if Hammer walks away, we'll get Povetkin vs frikin' BJ Flores... I thought they said they had a "satisfying replacement" if things fell trough with MC Hammer?! That's NOT satisfying!
