Povetkin is just as tough as takam and hits a lot harder imagine povetkin in with Joshua the other week?

 

He is one of the options, nothing is set yet. Schwarz(WBO 2) and Otto Wallin(WBA 12) could be the additional options.

 

Even then... NOT a satisfying option. Hope it isn't him.

 

I don't think Hearn would accept this fight for Joshua. The reward/risk factor just isn't there. Fighting Wlad was worth the risk as Wlad is a legend. Povetkin is not. Povetkin hasn't even held a true version of the heavyweight title whereas guys like Martin and Stiverne has. Let that sink in. Povetkin also doesn't have any big wins either. His best win probably is Carlos Takam who is a solid fighter but he isn't great nor is he really well known either.

Having said that Joshua beat Wlad who at 40, who was still a better fighter than Povetkin right now and just as powerful too, probably more so. So I don't think Joshua is afraid of power. Also we don't know how much power a clean Povetkin carry anyway. And would Povetkin really risk fighting dirty again after already being popped twice?

 

Potential banana skin for Joshua. Povetkin will really fancy his chances against Joshua seen as how hes similiar hight to Takham and has better movement more power etc. Joshua should avoid him for a few more years but I hope he dosent as will be a good fight.

good question, many reasons are possible. 4 Million is a lot for Parker.. I know they paid Klitschko $8 Million. probably something else that Parker asked for that we don't know about.
