Hearn will win purse bid, will Ward fight in UK or drop belt?

I doubt Hearn will want it get to the point of a purse bid. Ward is the Super Champion so will end up getting the larger share of the purse if it gets to a purse bid. I doubt Froch would be willing to take the smaller share of the purse as he is the far bigger draw. If it goes to purse bids either expect Froch to dump the title or request a deferral like Povetkin did when he didn't want to fight Wlad so soon.

This is a great situation for Ward. By getting the WBA to force a fight they are in a position of strength. Froch needs to either sweeten the pot to make a fight before the purse bid or probably drop his title where Ward can claim Froch is ducking him when in reality it doesn't make financial sense for Froch to give Ward a bigger share when he's the clear draw, bringing in most of the money. Froch will want at least $6 million which is what he made against Kessler and Groves in the first fight, if his share of the pot is less, he'll definitely vacate.

Froch is just too slow, now you can compensate for this if you have the better timing, accuracy and distance control, but he also falls well, well short of Ward in these departments too. Then add to this Froch has about 60% of the variety and punch selection of Ward and you have all the makings of a mismatch, which if truth be told was what the first fight turned out to be and is the only logical outcome if they fight again.

Pffft, Ward has himself to blame for his situation. If 'his' team can't get the location he wants then he'll have to travel....umm....like pretty much any other sports-person! His attitude is so pampered and prima-donna like it's untrue!

They both may have agendas but the fact remains: If all boxers were like Froch, we'd have a hell of a sport to watch. If they were all like Ward, it'd be fu¢ked.

It was definitely up there for terms of hypocrisy!

I've been pretty vocal in terms of what I think of Ward, not as a talent or individual but just in that he seems bad for the game.
I personally think Floyd Jr is pretty bad for the game but you have to give him props for putting on entertaining showings and playing fair (he gave Ortiz no histrionics after an atrocious headbutt).
Ward however is the worst kind of winner in my view, borderline cheating and whiny/self-important with it. All mixed in with that ridiculous US-based religious tw@ttery I find infuriating.

OK, OK, sorry Dre...just.....grrrr....STOP IT AND BOX FFS!!!

Jay z has deeper pockets than hearn. They can win the bid if they want.

    Froch shouldve fought Degale.
