Apparently you didn't read everything. Hearns is at a NATURAL 185 for this one. Nothing else about him changes but for that fact.... he always fought at ~ 185 for this match. His height could certainly shoulder that weight
Why is the match "crazy" when a guy like Hearns has always fought a ~185... that's his natural weight for this one.
What? Hearns and Marciano are equal in weight for this.... Hearns was always around 185 for this match, so Hearns isn't giving up anything regarding weight. Nothing else about Hearns changes..
Yeah I know his natural weight is 185lb for this one. But we have no idea what his speed and co-ordination would be like at the weight. It's fantasty beyond human comprehension.
Nothing changes about Hearns other than his weight, Robbi. His speed and other matters remain intact.
Uh, Marciano by KO of course. Hearns got wiped by Hagler within 3 rounds, what is he going to do against ANOTHER Brocktonian 20lbs heavier and hits even HARDER?
I think this sort of scenario is a bit different than 'What if Jeffries came along today.' In the later case, your at least keeping Jeffries natural potential the same, and asking how it might have actualized itself differently in a different environment; but in this Hearns scenario your changing his actual natural potential; so it's in essence (not just accidentally) no longer really Hearns. However, I think you could sensibly ask what a 185 lb'er with qualities analogous to Hearns's might do. If you take a 73" 147 pounder and keep his proportions the same, at 185 lb he'd be 6' 6.8"; but if you kept his BMI the same, he'd be 6' 9.9".
