    Hearns over Duran, easily.

Tarver was just in the right place at the right time for Jones, whereas Hearns actually dismantled a guy that still went on to achieve a lot of good wins.

What kind of absolute ass would be asked this question and answer with "both".
That'd be like the notorious "Who's your favorite founding father?"
    "Oh! All of them!"

Hearns over Duran easily, he stopped and ATG in less than 3 Rounds, and not only did he knock him out he decimated him from the opening bell and the outcome was inevitable after that. That right hand at the end is possibly one of the greatest punches ever thrown. Duran was knocked out before he even hit the ground and it wasn't as if Duran had a bad chin, he was one tough guy.
Tarvers was just an incredible lucky shot and Jones chin was no better than average but, the only thing that could possibly make Tarvers better is his quote before the fight. :)

Hearns over Duran. Back then right after the Jones Tarver fight, i might well have given a different answer.

*Tarvers ko win over Roy Jones... and Thats after Tarver took the mic and said"no more excuses Roy"...DAMMMN! No one expected that... it was brutal upset.
*Hearns KO'ing Duran, although impressive, most give Duran a pass... Hearns did that to alot of fighters... Duran had been in the game 14years already, was in way over his weight and fighting a guy in Hearns who was steaamrolling everyone... no one was giving Duran a chance.

Tarver over Jones. I thought Hearns-Duran was a physical mismatch going in, although I didn't expect it to end as quickly as it did. Jones was a far bigger favorite over Tarver.

Good point too, we'd already seen Hearns annihilate Cuevas in the same shocking manner, and Cuevas was also supposed to be "un-knockoutable" at the time. We knew Hearns was capable of this type of thing.

Hearns over Duran impressed me the most, mainly because nobody ever did that to Roberto.

But Jones getting offed by Tarver was a much larger surprise. I thought Jones would repeat his close decision victory. To literally be blown away by a single counter left was absolutely stunning.

I thought Hearns would level Duran at some point. Not that early and viciously, but I thought we'd see multiple knockdowns and a TKO sometime around the 6th.
