    Today...

It was the last fight i saw while living in Puerto Rico.

    Boring as it was...

I remember this also because on the 29th i took two very long flights to the United States with my mom, my siblings and my grandparents. My dad had come two weeks ahead of us to set up business here. I was the only one in our party who spoke English and my English was enough to get us by on those flights and on the stop over, but barely so lol

That long trip to my new home signified how far away i was going to get from the innocent teenage girl i was at the time, but Ive slowly come back.

The fight was still boring lol! My parting gift boxing-wise from Puerto Rico after a decade watching great fights for free, turned out to be one of those gifts you want to give forward or throw away lol...

I remember watching this live. Can't believe that was 34 years ago. Crazy how time flies.

It was mostly boring with Hearns outboxing him, but the 9th round was excellent IMO. Hearns dropped him at the beginning of the round, got a little wild while trying to take Olajide out, and gassed out a bit. Olajide came back towards the end of the round, and tagged Hearns seconds from the bell with a good shot that drove him back. Went back to being boring after that though. Ended up a near shutout for Hearns.

Saw it on showtime. Nice performance by Hearns. If I remember he got hit low in that fight but had Olajide down twice

Hearns did the entire fight..Olajide just wanted to survive except for that one moment mentioned above at the end of round nine.
